Season Five Opener: At the Gate of Louisiana
We open to Jeremiah Vastrix sitting behind the news desk at the CWF headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. He brings a stack of papers together before setting them in the outshelf on top of a file inbox with a smile.
Jeremiah Vastrix – Hello and welcome to Season Five! We are beginning the road to Civil Warfare at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, where Elizabeth Devereaux-O’Rourke will take on Samael Drago for the Conquest championship! We begin our journey in Bossier City, Louisiana, at the Brookshire Grocery Arena for Vanguard.

Jeremiah Vastrix – We have a surprising number of debut matches this cycle, most of which are on Vanguard. We begin with Tillman Blackstone as he takes on Mysterion. Tillman Blackstone has an amateur wrestling background, which may prove to be useful when taking on Mysterion in the ring. It will certainly help when facing stronger opponents after Vanguard.

Jeremiah Vastrix – The second match on the card is the debut of Astra Mortis against Brutal Mick Brandon. Astra, I am told, is a skilled wrestler, capable of taking you apart with her words and then her hands. Mick doesn’t stand much of a chance.
Vanguard Match 2 Singles Match

Astra Mortis

Brutal Mick Brandon
Jeremiah Vastrix – And the third debut of the night will be Rowan Vance as he takes on Malibu Mike Swanson. Rowan is also called the Curious One. I guess he was that kid who took in everything. I’m not sure how being a creeper translates into wrestling, but I’m all for it.

Jeremiah Vastrix – The final debut match of the night is the tag team of Shingo Hara and Kami Nakada, also known as True Chaotic, as they take on Abel and Agent Orange. The history of True Chaotic is interesting. I mean, I have spent some time in Japan on bus…pleasure. And Hawaii, of course. But, uuhhh where was I? Oh yes, this should be an exciting match.

Jeremiah Vastrix – The next match boggles the mind. We have a contendership match for the Valor championship as Fiona O’Connell takes on Mozzy Rella. However, the main event is Vespertine getting the Valor title match. Didn’t she beat Vespertine in the ring? I don’t get this whole “I challenged for the Valor championship, and therefore I must be granted a shot” rule. This might have to be changed up some in the future. But anyway, back to the match at hand. Fiona is taking on Mozzy. I really hope that she knocks him the eff out. You saw that he was going to just steal the Valor title belt when he lost the match against Akame? Disgusting. I know people might run some comparisons between Mozzy and me based on…things, but I would never strike a woman…outside of a wrestling match…or if she really needed me to, but that’s prolly something you don’t want to know. Like you know, light spanking is ok and…wait a minute. Fiona vs Mozzy. I’m totally Team Fiona here.

Jeremiah Vastrix – This brings us to the main event of the evening as Vespertine takes on Akame McClancy for the Valor championship. This should be a great match as Vespertine has taken down some interesting opponents of late, but has also had some disappointing losses. The point is that she is a very capable wrestler, one half of the tag team champions. Akame McClancy has just been outed as wearing the Tetsuo Oni mask. She overcame Mozzy Rella in a one-on-one match and claimed the Valor championship after losing out in the Valor Scramble. Will Vespertine take the title away from Akame? I mean, she could do it. I don’t want to say that she will, but she could do it.

Jeremiah Vastrix – And then the first War Zone of Season Five is coming at you from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana! Who comes up with these arena names? Oh, businesses buy the naming rights? That’s insane! Anyway.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Our first match of the show is the last debut of the cycle as Carter Shaw takes on Lance Dewlock. I think Carter Shaw is sort of a poor man’s Batman. Trained in all sorts of combat skills that he is going to bring to the ring to take his opponents apart a piece at a time. Should be interesting to see what he has in store for Lance Dewlock, who is also a known technical wizard.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Now that we are done with the debut matches, next up we have Zolothach as she takes on Annika Devereaux. Zolothach is back from a suspension for using “abilities that should not be used during the course of a match”. Whatever that means. She’s going to be on thin ice if she does it again; it will be to the breadline. Annika is fresh off a victory against Karlie Nash from the last Vanguard and will be looking to continue her dominance. Who will win? I will have to favor Annika in this, but who knows?
Warzone Match 2 Singles Match

Jeremiah Vastrix – The third match on the show is a regular Goliath vs David as Dylan Erickson takes on Alex Nelson. I’m sure it would have been Steve Murdock, but as he’s in recovery…again…it was not to be. Oh, Alex has recently been released from captivity as he was used as a pawn in Eoin O’Rourke’s war against Steve Murdock. Will he even be ready to get into the ring after such a traumatizing event? Only time will tell.
Warzone Match 3 Singles Match

Dylan Erickson
-VS-
Alex Nelson
Jeremiah Vastrix – The next match is an exciting one as Trelisa Perrault comes fresh off of her loss at Tribal Warfare to take on Karie Nash, who is also fresh off a defeat at Vanguard. Someone is going to start building momentum from here out. I wonder who it will be. Trelisa is good, but Karlie can be savage.
Warzone Match 4 Singles Match

Trelisa Perrault
-VS-
Karlie Nash
Jeremiah Vastrix – The next match is also fallout from Tribal Warfare. Gabriel Tuck turned against his surrogate father and helped end the War Games match in my favor. Madd Morales didn’t take that kind of thing lying down and tried to take Gabriel to task over it, but was trounced by Gabriel and Trelisa. This is Madd’s chance for some vengeance. I don’t think it’s going to happen, though. I trust that my guy, Gabe, is going to win the day.

Jeremiah Vastrix – And then we get to the main event of War Zone, where Bad Company will take on Pacific Rim for the chance to take on eNVy for the tag team championship. Who will Bad Company field? All three members are available to wrestle for the night against the twins. Heh, it could even be twins against twins. So funny. Who will win? I mean, historically, Bad Company has an edge against Pacific Rim, but we will see how it turns out on this night if that remains the same.

Jeremiah Vastrix – All this and more! I think we are going to hear from the new Conquest champion, Samael Drago, and his challenger, Elizabeth Devereaux-O’Rourke. I’m sure there will be more to come as well. Tune in and, as always, #jointheconquest!
