||Vanguard || S5E1 || Bossier City, LA ||

The show opening starts as the new Vanguard theme for Season 5, “Destroy Me” by PRESIDENT starts to play. It’s quickly followed by the new Season 5 Logo for Vanguard.

The patented CWF Drone flyby opening starts as the drones fly through the crowd of the entire overhead view of the crowd in the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois. As the drones fly over the crowd the theme for Wardrums starts to play through the arena and over your streaming access, either through the CWF website, cable provider, or streaming access.

The drones continue, as fireworks start to go off through the arena’s setup and the video overlay shows that 12,475 fans, out of an arena capacity of 14,000 have joined the CWF live tonight.

The drones all come to the stage, and hover there as the logo for the show comes up with a huge amount of fireworks going off on the stage, with a tunnel going off to one side for the entrances.

Then one breaks free from the rest, and goes down to hover in front of our Vanguard announcer’s desk with both Jessica Carr and Victoria Hill seated there.

Jessica Carr – Good evening, and welcome to the first show of Season 5 for CWF’s Vanguard. We’re coming to you tonight from Bossier City, Louisiana as we get things started for the season right.

Victoria Hill – And we’re hot off the heels of Tribal Warfare, where we had two titles change hands, the Conquest Championship and the Valor Championship. The Elite Title get retained, and Armand Von Krauss is no longer one of our co-owners.

Jessica Carr – No, and in his place is now Jeremiah Vastrix… who I’m told we’ll be hearing from tonight as he has a special announcement for the CWF.

Victoria Hill – And of course we’ll also have some great wrestling.  Our first main event is the Valor Champion, Akame McClancy defending against a former Valor Champion, and the woman who challenged for it as she beat now former champion, Mozzy Rella at Tribal Warfare.

Jessica Carr – Vespertine did the challenge and it was accepted. But also we have a contendership match for the Valor Championship tonight. Fiona O’Connell and Mozzy Rella who had a slight altercation at the end of the Tribal Warfare Valor Title match up. And one of them will be facing either Vespertine or Akame McClancy next Vanguard for Episode 2.

Victoria Hill – I hate to say it, but I’d like to see two upstarts fight it out and see if they actually can live up to the hype here of what they would do.

Jessica Carr – We’ll also see two newcomers in battle in different matches. Rowan Vance will be taking on “Malibu” Mike Swanson, and our first match will be Astra Mortis taking on “Brutal” Mick Brandon.

Victoria Hill – So four matches for you tonight… as we get season 5 started.

Jessica Carr – Well, looks like we’re going to actually get things started with a trip backstage where I’m told we’re going to go to Jeremiah Vastrix’s office here in the arena tonight.

Backstage at the office of “God’s Gift” Jeremiah Vastrix. He is looking at a laptop when there is a knock at the door.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Enter.

Eoin O’Rourke opens the door, still looking a little bandaged up from his big match at Tribal Warfare.

Eoin O’Rourke – You wanted to see me?

Jeremiah closes the laptop and scoots it to the side with a smile as he gestures for Eoin to take a seat. Eoin considers it for a moment and then sits down.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Firstly, I wanted to congratulate you on your win at Tribal Warfare. I know the match was not an easy one, and it was something that did excite the crowd quite a bit. I can’t say that I agree with the kidnapping, but I wasn’t a co-owner then, so I won’t dig into that.

Eoin O’Rourke – Thank you kindly, but what did you really want to see me for?

Jeremiah grins and slaps the top of the desk.

Jeremiah Vastrix – That’s what I like to see. Cut right through the bullshit. I would like you to take on the Elite champion at Civil Warfare coming up. Now, understand that Greg Salazar will be defending his championship at S5E3, but that Civil Warfare title shot is all yours, no matter who the champion will be. Is this something that you would be interested in?

Eoin O’Rourke – Aye, I would like to have that title shot very much. It would coincide with my wife getting her title shot that night.

Jeremiah Vastrix – That is the plan, Eoin. Synergy, I believe the term is. You both get a title shot that night. Heck, your step-daughter could also be getting a title shot that night, depending on whether she gets through to the final round in the tournament.

Eoin O’Rourke – We don’t use the term step in our family. Just my daughter will do.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Oh? Oh! My apologies. Your daughter has a chance at getting to a title shot that night as well. Heck, you guys could single-handedly take the majority of the titles in the company at Civil Warfare and be the dominant stable.

Eoin O’Rourke – That would be the plan going into this. We will be the dominant ones.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Great. Go get healed up. The Elite championship won’t be an easy sell, especially if Greg still has the title.

Eoin O’Rourke – Don’t I know it.

Jeremiah watches as Eoin leaves the room and opens up his laptop. When we fade to black, we catch sight of the screen and see that Jeremiah is watching a promo video of Vespertine.

Victoria Hill – Eoin O’rourke has just been granted an Elite Title shot at our next pay per view, Civil Warfare.

Jessica Carr – Well I’ll say this, after what he did in the Insurgency Cage Match, he’s a great pick for that. So the Insurgency Cage match at Tribal Warfare, which Eoin O’Rourke won, beating Steve Murdock… was also an Elite Title contendership match up then.

Victoria Hill – I can get on board with that. Reward people for what they’ve done here.

Jessica Carr – Well, that takes us to our first match up tonight. Newcomer, Astra Mortis… against “Brutal Mick Brandon”

Victoria Hill – And Marcela, take us to our first match of season 5!

Marcela Sancho – The following contest has been scheduled for one fall! Featuring first the challenger, hailing from Buffalo, New York…she is Astra Mortis!

The arena lights drop into dim violet.

A slow heartbeat monitor tone echoes through the arena.

Beep.

Beep.

Beeeeeeeeeeep.

Flatline.

Fog spills across the entrance stage as The Other Side begins.

Astra Mortis emerges slowly through the mist, wearing a long black mourning coat and lace veil. Her movements are deliberate and unsettlingly calm.

She pauses halfway down the ramp and simply watches the crowd.

Not waving.

Not posing.

Just observing.

As she walks, she quietly murmurs to herself:

“Honest…

liar…

honest…”

Judging the room.

At the ring, she climbs onto the apron on all fours before rising slowly to her feet. She removes the veil, revealing corpse-smudged eye makeup and an unreadable expression.

She presses a hand to her chest.

Then taps the mat once.

The lights return.

Jessica Carr – This is the tag team partner of Jackson Mikaelson. Looks like she classifies herself less as a rulebreaker and more as a liebreaker.

Victoria Hill – What does that even mean?

Jessica Carr – She forces the liars to confront their own lies…I think.

Victoria Hill – I see.

Marcela Sacho – And her opponent, hailing from Chicago, Illinois…he is Brutal Mick Brandon!

“Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor begins playing as Brutal Mick Brandon walks out from the back. He ignores the booing crowd and makes his way straight for the ring. He steps through the ropes and leans in his corner to wait for the match to begin.

Jessica Carr – Says here that Mick used to spend some time in the big house.

Victoria Hill – I know, right? So dreamy. I wonder if he was plowed or…if he did the plowing?

Jessica Carr – Do what now?

Victoria Hill – Oh, come on now. You know that someone who’s spent more than one prison term ain’t doing it for the fun. He’s prolly gay. It’s sad, really.

As the bell sounds to start the match, Astra Mortis and Mick Brandon meet in the center of the ring.

Astra Mortis – Why is it that you don’t tell the truth about your reform?

Mick Brandon – What?

Astra responds with a series of European uppercuts that send Mick backpedalling to the ropes. She grabs hold of him and whips him into the ropes on the opposite side and runs at him to hit a big boot in a move she calls Last Breath! Mick is leveled as the boot connects with his face.

Astra Mortis – Can you tell me that you’ve done nothing illegal since getting out of prison?

Mick Brandon – I’ve done nothing wrong!

Astra connects with a kick to the ribcage that rolls Mick over, where he gets back to his feet.

Astra Mortis – Did you not place a bet on this match?

She whips him into the ropes again and grabs him on the rebound to hit a massive spinebuster. Instead of going for the pinfall, Astra stands up.

Astra Mortis – Did you?

Jessica Carr – Is this a match or an interrogation?

Victoria Hill – I’m not sure. Either way, it’s exciting.

Mick Brandon – It’s not illegal!

Astra hits a knee strike to the grounded Mick.

Astra Mortis – You bet on yourself to lose…of course it’s illegal if you DON’T FIGHT BACK!

She drags Mick to his feet and shoves him.

Astra Mortis – Fight me! Or, are you too cowardly to stand up for your truth?

Mick throws a punch, but Astra catches the wrist. She then hits him with a Pump-handle powerbomb delivered with sudden explosive strength in a move that she calls Revenant’s Mercy! She shakes her head as she goes for the cover, hooking a leg. The referee gets into position.

….one

…..two

……..three!

Jessica Carr – Well? She let him take a swing at her anyway.
Victoria Hill – This was certainly something.

Astra does not celebrate.

She steps forward.

Slow. Measured. Center of the ring.

The noise fades—not because it’s gone…
…but because she doesn’t acknowledge it.

Her eyes lift.

Not to the crowd.

To the camera.

Astra Mortis – Tell them all I know now…

A quiet line. No emphasis. No rise. Just… certainty.

Astra Mortis – You built this division on noise.

Astra Mortis – On momentum. On moments that feel important because they are loud.

A slight tilt of her head.

Astra Mortis – …but I have been watching.

She takes a step forward.

Astra Mortis – Shout it from the rooftops…

Her voice doesn’t get louder.

But it gets sharper.

Astra Mortis – Let them hear it clearly.

Astra Mortis – There are no contenders here.

Astra Mortis – No balance. No structure. No one capable of holding what you pretend are titles of value.

A pause.

Then—

Astra Mortis – We are not here to compete for them.

Her gaze doesn’t waver.

Astra Mortis – We are here to correct them.

A breath.

Measured.

Astra Mortis – Tell them what I hoped would be…

Astra Mortis – For a moment…

Astra Mortis – …I believed this place might be different.

Astra Mortis – That there would be something worth preserving.

Her expression doesn’t change.

But something behind it… tightens.

Astra Mortis – There isn’t.

She turns her head as if looking past the crowd. To Jackson.

Not as a partner.

As a constant.

Astra Mortis – Two forces.

Astra Mortis – One truth.

Astra Mortis – One outcome.

She looks back into the camera.

Astra Mortis – You will call us…

A beat.

Astra Mortis – …No Witnesses.

The name lands without flourish.

No music cue.

No pose.

Just finality.

Astra Mortis – All my scars are open…

Astra Mortis – I have seen what this world does to itself.

Astra Mortis – I have walked away from it once before.

Her voice dips—lower now, not softer.

More dangerous.

Astra Mortis – And I returned without illusion.

A single step closer to the ropes.

To the lens.

To everyone watching.

Astra Mortis – You cannot threaten what has already abandoned everything.

A breath.

Stillness.

Astra Mortis – Stopping us…

A fraction of a pause.

Not for effect.

For judgment.

Astra Mortis – …is impossible.

Silence.

Jackson lets out a quiet, satisfied exhale—like a fuse just finished burning.

Astra doesn’t move.

Doesn’t blink.

Doesn’t celebrate.

Because as far as she’s concerned—

It’s already done.

Jessica Carr – Was the the introduction of a new tag team? No Witnesses?

Victoria Hill – I’m not sure. But if it is, good to see a new tag team in the division.

Jessica Carr – Well, that brings us to our first commercial break of the season. We’ll be right back with more wrestling action.

The show comes back from commercial break and we have the cameras on Marcela Sancho in the ring.

Victoria Hill – Welcome back, we’re ready for our second match of the evening, and our second debut.

Jessica Carr – Welcome Rowan Vance, who will be taking on “Malibu” Mike Swanson!

Victoria Hill – All yours, Marcela.

Marcela Sancho – The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Featuring first the challenger, hailing from Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia…he is Rowan Vance!

The lights dim. A low, almost imperceptible hum of static rolls through the speakers. The crowd murmurs, unsure if this is intentional or a tech glitch.

A single cold white spotlight snaps on, not centered on the stage but slightly off to the left, like production missed their cue or Rowan Vance wasn’t where they expected him to be.

Then the unmistakable bassline of “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads kicks in.

The crowd reacts instantly, some cheering, some laughing at the unexpected choice, all of them paying attention.

Rowan Vance steps into the light.

Hands in his pockets, head slightly tilted. Expression unreadable, like he’s listening to something only he can hear.

He doesn’t pose, he just starts walking. Slow, steady, deliberate. Sometimes a hand will come out to slap fives or fist bump those in the crowd.

Every few steps, he glances over his shoulder, not dramatically, just a subtle, instinctive check, like he heard a footstep behind him.

The spotlight follows him, but always a fraction of a second late, giving the whole thing a slightly off‑kilter, uncanny rhythm.

As he reaches the ramp, the lighting shifts: a faint blue haze rolls across the stage, giving him a silhouette that looks almost doubled, like someone is walking just behind him.

The crowd can’t tell if it’s a trick of the lights or something else.

Rowan reaches ringside. He pauses as the chorus hits that jittery, staccato vocal rhythm.

He still doesn’t position himself for photo opportunities, doesn’t smirk, just stops, his head turning slightly like he’s trying to locate a sound in the rafters.

Then he slides under the bottom rope with the same quiet, fluid motion he does everything else… As he stands, the arena lights flicker, just once.

Not enough to scream “supernatural.” Just enough to make the audience shift in their seats. Rowan doesn’t react, he’s used to it.

He walks to his corner, leans back against the turnbuckles, and waits, hands still in his pockets, eyes scanning the arena like he’s cataloguing every noise, every movement, every pattern.

The music fades. The static hum returns for half a second, then there’s silence, and Rowan Vance is ready.

Jessica Carr – Tonight is Rowan Vance’s first match here. Hope he does well.

Victoria Hill – How culd he not do well? He’s facing Malibu Mike Swanson.

Jessica Carr – I suppose that is true. He is facing the one who submitted a match while not being in a submission hold because he was scared.

Victoria Hill – Right? Malib Mike isa gimmie win. Everyone knows that.

Marcela Sancho – And his opponent, hailing from Malibu, California…Malibu Mike Swanson!

“California Girls” by the Beach Boys begins playing as Mike Swanson walks out from the back. He poses for cheering fans for a moment before heading down to the ring, slapping some high fives on the way down the aisle. He rolls into the ring and flexes again for the cheering fans.

Jessica Carr – I don’t know why it is that Malibu Mike even comes to work. It’s not like he really needs the paycheck, and he gets his ass kicked every time he gets on the tv.

Victoria Hill – He has said in interviews before that he likes the attention that he gets from people recognizing him in public.

Jessica Carr – He gets routinely beaten like a drum because he wants to sign autographs and get the good table at a fine restaurant?

Victoria Hill – Pretty much, yeah. I mean, there’s probably also the tail he could get as well.

Rowan meets Mike in the center of the ring, almost as if deciding what to do with him. He steps forward at Mike, stomping the mat in the process. Mike flinches and jumps back. Rowan shakes his head and punches Mike in the mouth, sending him staggering back a few steps so that Rowan can run at him and clothesline him to the mat.

Mike quickly starts to get up, but a scissor kick from Rowan puts him right back to the mat. Rowan runs to the ropes as Mike slowly gets back up, leveling him with a running forearm smash!

Jessica Carr – Rowan just batting Mike around here.

Victoria Hill – You would think that Mike would just take the hint and stay down.

Rowan watches as Mike gets back up again and runs at him, hitting a running cutter that he calls the Riverbend Cutter! He goes for the pinfall. Referee Troy Reynolds getting into position to make the count.

….one

……two

……..thre-Mike gets a shoulder up!

Jessica Carr – Looked like Mike couldn’t decide to kick out or not.

Victoria Hill – He should have stayed down.

Rowan Vance gets back to his feet and looks down at the pathetic Malibu Mike before pulling him up into a sudden, fluid snap dragon suplex transitioned immediately into a bridging pin that he calls the Vanishing Point!

….one

……two

……..three!

Marcela Sancho – Winner of the match via pinfall…Rowan Vance!

Rowan Vance celebrates in the ring while Malibu Mike slinks away to the back.

Jessica Carr – Rowan Vance with a dominating win.

Victoria Hill – I mean it was his luck that he was paired against the coward of the county.

Jessica Carr – Looks like before we get to our next match, we are going to have some kind of announcement from new co-owner, Jeremiah Vastrix. I hear it deals with an upcoming tournament or event here in the CWF.!

Victoria Hill – That sounds really awesome!

“Warhammer Heart” by Cryptic Writings begins playing as “God’s Gift” Jeremiah Vastrix walks out from the back with a wide smile and a tailored business suit. He walks down to the ring, stepping through the ropes and being handed a microphone.

Jeremiah Vastrix – Howdy, ladies and gentlemen! I have a great announcement for you for upcoming shows! We would like to announce the opening of a tournament for the Skirmish championship! A cruiserweight title where the matches have a strict time limit of ten minutes. We have a few people eyed for this tournament who have never had a championship before. Well, singles championship in CWF.

Jessica Carr – A brand new championship!

Victoria Hill – I wonder who will be in this tournament?

Jeremiah Vastrix – We will have eight people from the roster in this tournament and have two round one matches at the next Vanguard, two round one matches at the Vanguard after that, a round two in the Vanguard after that, and another round two match at the next Vanguard. We will have the final round at Civil Warfare where we will crown the first ever Skimish champion!

Jessica Carr – So, the matches will be spread out throughout the first half of the season, but who will be in it?

Victoria Hill – I think he’s getting to that now.

Jeremiah Vastrix – The following will be in this tournament. Trelisa Perrault, Tillman Blackstone, Alex Nelson, Zolothach, Dixie Clement, Rayven Reinhardt. Rowan Vance, and Annika Devereaux. This list is subject to change of course, depending on how contracts pan out.

Jessica Carr – Right? Especially with Tillman Blackstone. I think there’s something wrong with his contract that he might not be here long since his debut match was canceled.

Victoria Hill – This is true. I don’t think Rayven has had a debut match yet either and is now being thrown into a tournament? Strange.

Jessica Carr – I guess her debut match will be in a tournament.

Victoria Hill – I hope she’s ready to be thrown into the deep end of the pool.

Jessica Carr – Right? I see lots of last minute training in her future.

Victoria Hill – I would hope so anyway.

Jeremiah Vastrix – So next Vanguard, our first matches are Trelisa Perrault against Tillman Blackstone and Alex Nelson against Zolothach! We wish good luck to all of the participants.

“Warhammer Heart” begins playing once again as Jeremiah Vastrix makes his way to the back.

Jessica Carr – The CWF Skirmish Championship. Things are going to get a lot more interesting.

Victoria Hill – That’s for sure. Coming up next is Fiona O’Connell as she takes on Mozzy Rella for a chance at the Valor championship currently held by Akame McClancy!

Jessica Carr – But first, our next commercial break!

The show comes back and we’re backstage in Mozzy Rella’s dressing room

Jessica Carr – Welcome back to Vanguard. We’re backstage here in one our talent’s dressing rooms.

Victoria Hill – Mozzy Rella, specifically.

Mozzy is sitting in a reclining chair shirtless and in boxer shorts, trademark Mozzy chain hanging from his neck, a cigarette sticks out of his mouth, smoke emanating from it, in Mozzy’s hand is a can of Guiness. Pauly is lounging in the love seat adjacent to Mozzy. In the center of the room is a midget dressed as a leprechaun, the leprechaun is attempting to play the bag pipes, the leprechaun is clearly struggling with holding and blowing into the pipes, the sound coming from the instrument imitates the sound of a cat that’s had its tail stepped on. Next to the bagpipe playing leprechaun is a woman in traditional Irish step dancing dress with her arms firmly planted at her sides leaping into the air and kicking her legs up and down.

Mozzy Rella – (Looking at the can of Guiness) I don’t know how the fuck they drink this shit. It’s disgusting.

Mozzy crumples the can up and throws the can at the leprechaun, the can caroms off his forehead and skids across the room

Pauly – Why did you bring in a bagpiping leprechaun and a disabled step dancer?

Mozzy Rella – I was trying to get into the Irish spirit, After tonight all the youth of Ireland are gonna be rapping along to “Kick Door” This might have been a mistake, bitch can’t dance, little shit can’t play bagpipes, this is awful.

Pauly – Yea dude, this is not chill.

Mozzy Rella – Hey, you two, get your retarded, inbred, potato eating, Guinness drinking, bog jumping mick asses out of here, I’m tired of you. But don’t go far, you’re coming out to the ring with me.

Pauly – Really?

Mozzy Rella – Yea, it’ll be funny, the fans will love it.

The midget leprechaun and step dancer walk past Mozzy and towards the door, before the leprechaun exits, Mozzy gets up and boots him in the ass, the leprechaun flies into the air and out the door, landing face first in the hallway. Mozzy slams the door shut.

Jessica Carr – What the hell was that?

Victoria Hill – A leprechaun?

Jessica Carr – I’m not sure Fiona O’Connell will find that funny.

Victoria Hill – She doesn’t have to. But she does have to face Mozzy Rella next! All yours Marcela!

Marcela Sancho – Ladies and gentlemen, the next match is set for one fall and is to determine the number 1 contender for the Valor title!  Introducing first.  Hailing from Dublin, Ireland!  She stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs in at 135lbs.  She is a member of the Upstarts, Fiona O’Connell!!!

The lights dim and a mist seems to rise from the ground near the entryway when suddenly, two simulated lighting bolts strike as ‘Blood’ by Dropkick Murphys plays.  As the lightning bolts seem to hit, Fiona is there, throwing a quick flurry of punches before she makes her way to the ring, pausing to greet fans and even poses for a few selfies, before climbing into the ring.

Jessica Carr – Fiona comes to the ring and she apparently decided to ask for and get some special effects for her entrance.

Victoria Hill – I still don’t get why she’s so popular.  She always loses the big matches and she doesn’t win that many normal matches either.. When you hype her you talk about things she ALMOST did.  Because she hasn’t DONE anything yet.

Jessica Carr – I don’t think that’s totally true.  She is the 4 Winds Tempest Champion.  And the almost are still impressive.  She fought through multiple people and nearly beat Kat Hale for the Valor title and she came within inches of beating Abigail Dresden for the Conquest title.

Victoria Hill – Unless you’re throwing horseshoes or hand grenades, almost doesn’t count.  All I’m saying.

Marcela Sancho – And introducing her opponent.  He hails from Middletown, New York.  Standing 6 feet tall and weighing in at 220lbs.  Mozzy Rella!!!

The lights dim and red and blue lights resembling the lights of a police cruiser strobe through the arena. The sound of a single gunshot goes off, then glass breaking followed by a vicious sounding dog barking. Then the bass line beat of Mozzy’s hit song “Kick Door” drops.

Mozzy strolls through the entrance way, beer in hand and a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth, wearing a white wife beater tank top and baggy jeans shorts. Around his neck is a diamond encrusted chain with a pendant that says “Mozzy”. The diamonds gleam and twinkle in the reflection of the lights. He takes a long drag from the cigarette then flicks it to the ground and stomps it out. He cracks the beer and takes a huge gulp followed by a loud burp.

*….And you know we gunna kick door….*

Mozzy kicks the air and begins to confidently walk his way down the ramp, drinking his beer and rapping along to his song the whole way down. He stops a few times to play to the crowd and receives mixed reactions.

Mozzy reaches the end of the walkway and takes a long sip of his beer, crunches the can in his hand and then drop kicks the crumpled can into the crowd.

*….You a runt, Im a big dog, and I wish your ass would like a b-

Fiona cuts him off by rebounding off the ropes and leaping over the ropes hitting Mozzy Rella with her version of the tope con hilo taking Mozzy out.  Fiona then grabs the mic he was using, and loads her fist with it as she hammers him with punches as the ref stands in the ring and yells at Fiona to stop using weapons and get the fight in the ring.

Jessica Carr – Holy crap!  Fiona went airborne and saved us from an incredibly bad rapper subjecting us to audio torture!!!

Victoria Hill – Way to be objective, Jess.  He should be allowed his entrance too.  But no, Fiona, the street thug is flagrantly breaking the rules and assaulting her opponent before the match has even begun

Fiona pulls Mozzy up and sends him head and shoulder first into the steel steps with an Irish whip.  Georgina Ross, the ref, yells at Fiona again

Georgina Ross – I’m warning you, O’Connell!!  Get the fight in the ring!!!

Mozzy gets up and throws a punch, Fiona dodges and boots him in the gut, slamming him face first into the steel steps and then finally rolls him into the ring, following him afterwards.

Jessica Carr – Well, the fight finally seems to get started.

Georgina Ross, at the moment both fighters enter the ring, calls for the bell to start the match

DING!!  DING!!

Fiona gets into a boxing stance and hammers Mozzy’s body with rights and lefts before she unleashes a left cross and a right handed European uppercut that sends Mozzy to the mat in a heap.

Jessica Carr – Fiona wasting no time and continues the attack on Mozzy

Victoria Hill – and if the situation were reversed you’d be whinging about how Mozzy cheated and it’s unfair he was able to gain an advantage.

In the ring, Fiona runs to the ropes and springboards off the ropes into a moonsault where she immediately tries to pin Mozzy.  Georgina Ross slides in to make the count,,

…One!

……Two!

Jessica Carr – Mozzy kicks out after a 2 count.  He still has some fight in him

Victoria Hill – Well lets not forget that these two are fighting for a chance to compete for the Valor title.. A belt that Mozyy held once and Fiona has never had.

In th ring, Fiona gets to her feet and starts to run towards the ropes but Mozzy reaches out and grabs one of Fiona’s feet and pulls, bring her to the mat.  Mozzy pounces and jumps on Fiona, pounding her in back of the head with closed fist punches.

Jessica Carr – And Mozzy seemingly has some choice words for Fiona but the mics luckily don’t seem to be picking him up.

Victoria Hill – Well it’s about damn time he managed to recover enough from that brutal pre match assault to gain some momentum.

Despite the ref’s instructions, Mozzy Rella continues the assault on Fiona, finally pulling her to her feet and throwing her into a corner.  He runs in after her and hits her with a body splash before he begins hammering her body with punches.  Fiona tries to defend and blocks or deflects some of the blows but remains solidly on the defensive as Mozzy continues his assault.

Jessica Carr – Well Mozzy has continued the assault and is also ignoring the instructions of the ref.

Victoria Hill – Fiona started it!  He has a right to respond!

In the ring, Mozzy climbs to the second rope and begins hammering Fiona in the head with more punches.  Fiona counters right about the time Mozzy and some of the crowd get to 9 and lifts him up, walking out of the corner and tries for a spinebuster type move but Mozzy hooks Fiona’s head as he goes down and the move ends up hitting him with a spinebuster and Fiona with a DDT like move, leaving both wrestlers on the mat stunned.

Jessica Carr – Well that was unexpected!  Mozzy happened to grab hold of Fiona on the way down and both fighters took some damage there!

Victoria Hill – A skillful counter!

Georgina Ross looks at the two downed fighters and begins the 10 count..

…1!

…2!

Both fighters writhe on the mat, trying to recover…

…3!

…4!

Mozzy crawls over near the ropes to use them to get back to his feet and Georgina Ross misses Mozzy’s manager handing him an illegal object that he uses to load his fist..

…5!

…6!

Fiona pulls herself to her feet and makes her way over to grab Mozzy but he turns and hits her with the loaded fist.  The blow seems to stun Fiona and while she’st on her feet, Mozzy quickly grabs her and rolls her up into a small package roll up, grabbing Fiona’s tights for extra leverage.  Georgina Ross does not see this as she slides into place for the count..

Jessica Carr – He used a foreign object!

Victoria Hill – Ref didn’t see it.. I call it smart.

…One!

……Two!

………Three!

DING DING!!!

Marcela Sancho – Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match by pinfall and number 1 contender to the Valor title… MOZZY RELLA!!!

Mozzy looks at Marcela and accuses her of using the ‘mozzerella’ nickname Fiona came up with and clearly threatens her, holding up a hand in a threat to backhand her.

Jessica Carr – Well there’s the number one contender to the Valor title folks.  A boy so insecure he has to threaten the ring announcer..

Victoria Hill – Least it’s not those thrice damned Irish.  Trust me, Fiona would make a horrible champion.  Partly due to her being Irish and partly due to her just not having that champion factor.

Jessica Carr – Well, one more commercial break and we’ll then see who Mozzy Rella will be challenging next Vanguard, as Vespertine challenges for the Valor Championship held by Akame Mcclancy!

The show comes back from commercial break and they pick right up.

Victoria Hill – Welcome back one last time. Our next match is our main event. At Tribal Warfare, Wardrums, Vespertine challenged for the next shot at the Valor Championship. And that was won at Tribal Warfare by “Reckless” Akame McClancy, the former Tetsuo Oni.

Jessica Carr – Vespertine has a chance to do something no one else has ever done before tonight, and win the Valor Championship for the 2nd Time. She is a former 1 defense champion. She lost it to Apathy who then turned around and won the prize, successfully defending it for 5 times… and she’s slated as the next challenger of the Conquest Championship.

Victoria Hill – So let’s go to our main event, for the Valor Championship!

Marcela Sancho – The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the CWF Valor championship!

Without warning, the Sandurakar chant starts up. As it does so, the lights go down, and then the audience brings their phone lights out. A deep blue light shines upward from below the stage, and fog starts to roil around the stage and on down the ramp. 4 drummers with what look to be Asian battle drums of some sort come out to the stage and set up. The chant goes down, and then all is silent for a minute; we hear Vespertine’s voice over the loudspeakers.

“I see you. I see your soul. And it…. is…. mine!”

One of the drummers on the stage does a battle shout, which is echoed by the others, and then they start on their drums, drumming and tapping in unison. As they do this, the song “The Warrior Chant” by the Hu comes up and starts out deep and heavy.

“Hu hu hu hu hu hu hu.”

From below the stage, Gangrel style, rises Vespertine on the trapdoor entrance platform. She is looking down, arms down, she wears her ring gear, with a trenchcoat and a covered hood. When the platform stops, she steps off to the edge of the entrance ramp and then slowly looks up. As she does so, she opens her eyes, and they are glowing a bright purple (or another color). She reaches out to the audience as if to encompass all their souls.

“Hu Hu Hu Hu Hu Hu”

She walks in time to the music, and when she gets to the ring, she goes up the steps, turns around, and does a backflip over the ring ropes. She gets to the center of the ring and looks down, then slowly she lifts her arms to point at the ceiling, then brings them back down quickly, upon which fire pyro pillars go off at each of the four corners. She looks around (either at her opponent or the audience and her eyes have turned to an orbless white. She slowly removes her hood and then looks up again and screams a feral scream to the ceiling.)

Marcela Sancho – Hailing from the Gates of Eternity via the different levels of Buddhist hell, coming in at 5 feet 5 inches, and 115 lbs, she is the Inevitable, the Well-Rounded Fighting Machine, the Deadly Diva, I give you VESPERTINEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

The drums on the stage end, the fans either boo or cheer rather loudly for her, and she walks over to the ring ropes and hands a techie both her hood and trenchcoat, not taking her eyes off her opponent and smiling a lopsided, wicked smile at them. The music stops, and we hear over the loudspeakers.

“Death…. by….”

Audience and loudspeakers – DIVA!

She gets to her side of the ring, puts her hand to her fist, and to her referee. She bows and stands waiting for her opponent.

Jessica Carr – Wow, that was a rather cinematic entrance.

Victoria Hill – Showboating all the way from the back to the ring. I like it.

The intro ‘static’ “start to “Reckless” By Lacuna Coil starts to play. When the guitars hit, Amake McClancy steps out onto the stage. She stands there posed for a moment, holding up an Oni mask on a stick, covering her face.

Once the first bridge is done, she throws the Oni mask to the crowd, revealing her true face and starts to walk down to the ring.

As the song picks up, she starts to do a slow walk down to the ring.

Marcela Sancho – And now, coming to the ring… She hails from Scotsdale, Arizona… The current reigning 4 Winds North American Champion, one half of the 4 Winds Dyad Champions, and the current reigning CWF Valor Champion… this is “Reckless” Amake McClancy!

When she gets to the ring, she climbs up the ring stairs to the corner. Once up on the apron, she doffs her robe and hands it to the ring attendant. She then hands the Valor championship belt to referee Scott Jones to present to the audience and then hand to the timekeeper. Her other gear and other titles she hands to a ring attendant.

She then pulls the top rope and springboards to the top turnbuckle, where she takes a seat to wait for the bell to ring.

Jessica Carr – Akame took Mozzy Rella to task and won the championship. Now, if she wins tonight, she will have to face him again. Only this time, he will be the one wanting to get at the championship.

Victoria Hill – I don’t know if that’s really a good thing since Mozzy Rella does not represent the ideals of the Valor championship. He is not a good champion or wrestler. I understand that he’s been training more since he won his first match, but he just doesn’t take it seriously.

As the bell sounds to start the match, Akame McClancy hops down from the turnbuckle and meets Vespertine in the center of the ring.

Vespertine – That title is going to be mine, you know. Eternal Grove is taking over the entire company.

Akame McClancy – You keep telling yourself that. You’re being fed to me so that I can have a good first defense set up.

Vespertine – I think you’re going to choke on what I have.

Akame McClancy – Try me.

Vespertine begins with a karate-style punch to the midsection that Akame deflects with ease. Vespertine fires a few more shots off that Akame deflects before stepping back and going in with a roundhouse kick that connects with the side of Akame’s head, nearly taking her down. Vespertine goes for a second roundhouse kick, but Akame gets up an arm to block the kick and hold her leg in the air so that she can sweep Vespertine’s other leg to take her down to the mat.

Vespertine is right back up to her feet and catches a knee to the midsection from Akame, who then lifts her with a butterfly suplex and throws her back down to the mat. She follows this with a lightning-quick standing moonsault that only hits knees as Vespertine gets them up in time to catch her!

Vespertine dumps Akame to the side and gets right back up to her feet where she meets the rising Akame with an elbow strike to the side of the head and a quick throat thrust! Akame backs away from Vespertine while clutching at her throat and choking, while Scott Jones admonishes her for the illegal move.

Jessica Carr – Pretty intense opening seconds of the match.

Victoria Hill – I know, right? I hope that they can keep this pace up.

Vespertine nods and goes in on Akame, connecting several times with a dragon whip kick, knocking her down with the final kick! Vespertine goes in with a kick to the ribcage and a few stomps to the shoulders before Akame can roll away and get back to her feet.

Vespertine grabs her by the arm and performs the Randy Ordton Backcracker, leaving Akame on the mat once again. This time, Vespertine goes for the quick pinfall, hooking the leg as Scott Jones gets into position for the count.

……..th-Akame kicks out!

Jessica Carr – Vespertine isn’t going to win like that.

Victoria Hill – No, she’s going to have to go in more on Ves to get the win tonight. Akame is going to be fighting with all that she has.

Vespertine kneels up and looks to Scott Jones, who holds up two fingers to show her that it was only a two-count. Vespertine sneers and grabs Akame by the hair to pull her head up and slam the back of her head into the mat a few times before standing up and pulling Akame up with her. Vespertine hits a jumping, spinning heel kick to the side of Akame’s head that puts her right back down to the mat.

Vespertine climbs to the top rope as Akame gets up and suddenly does a backflip from the turnbuckles in a “whisper in the wind” move that takes Akame down! Vespertine goes for the pinfall again.

……..thr-Akame kicks out!

Vespertine gets right back up to her feet and watches Akame for a second, and then goes running to the ropes and comes off the ropes with a cartwheel, looking for a splash. However, Akame rolls out of the way as Vespertine comes down for the impact, splashing nothing but the mat!

Jessica Carr – Getting a bit too daring there.

Victoria Hill – I mean, it was a reasonable risk. She just didn’t calculate right.

Vespertine sits up and takes a penalty kick to the chest that lays her back out. Akame McClancy stands over her and pulls her back to her feet before tossing her across the ring! She waits for Vespertine to get up before running at her and nailing a running knee strike to the midsection!

Akame gets Vespertine up into the air for a vertical suplex and drops her into a brainbuster! She goes for the pinfall while Scott Jones gets into position to make the count!

……..thr-Vespertine kicks out!

Akame McClancy kneels up and looks at Scott Jones, who flashes her the two fingers to show that it was only a two-count. Akame gets to her feet and watches as Vespertine gets up before running for the ropes. On the rebound, Akame gets close and does a dive with an elbow strike to the side of the jaw in a move that she calls Supergirl Elbow, which levels Vespertine.

Akame climbs to the top rope and steadies herself, lifting her arms to the Heavens to get the fans cheering. She does a twisting backflip into a lateral press across Vespertine’s knees! Vespertine, having got her knees up at the last moment to block the finishing move that Akame calls Madcap Meteor!

Vespertine dumps Akame to the side and gets to her feet. She steps out onto the ring apron and grabs the top rope, slingshotting herself over the top rope and landing a leg drop onto Akame’s chest! She goes for the cover!

……..thre-Akame kicks out!

Vespertine shoots Scott Jones a look that could kill, but he just shows her two fingers to indicate that there was only a two-count!

Jessica Carr – Vespertine fighting back from almost being defeated.

Victoria Hill – I think she still has a chance to come away with the title, but only if she’s careful.

Vespertine gets up and watches as Akame is slower to get to her feet. Vespertine hits a leg trap sunset flip power bomb that is known as Melinia’s Last Call! She has the shoulder’s down for the cover again!

……..three-NO! Akame kicks out of the move at the last second!

Vespertine grits her teeth as she is again being flashed the two fingers to represent a two-count. She stands up and roughly pulls Akame to her feet. She hits Akame with a full Nelson Codebreaker that she calls the Vesperbreaker!

Jessica Carr – What a move! We could be looking at a new champion!

Victoria Hill – She has to actually win the match to become champion.

Vespertine climbs to the top rope and watches as Akame slowly gets up to her feet. Vespertine goes for the diving meteora, but Akame moves out of the way so that Vespertine crashes knees-first onto the mat! Vespertine hits the mat hard, and Akame hits her in the side of the head with a super-duper kick to send her crashing to the mat!

Akame McClancy stands by Vespertine and watches as she slowly gets back to her feet. Vespertine takes a swing at Akame, but the blow is dodged, and Akame comes back with a cutter, dropping Vespertine to the mat, where she bounces up into the air and lands on her side. Akame goes for the pinfall, pushing across Vespertine’s face with her elbow as she does so.

……..thr-Vespertine kicks out!

Jessica Carr – We are getting closer to a victory here.

Victoria Hill – Yeah, but who will be the one to clinch that last move?

Akame gets right back up and climbs onto the top rope! She leaps through the air in a twisting backflip, going for a lteral press, but Vespertine gets up her knees to block the fishing move! Vespertine gets up and pulls Akame to her feet. She applies a Japanese Stranglehold/lungblower combo that she calls Death by Diva! Akame tries to break the hold or get out of it, but as she is in the middle of the ring…she realizes there is no escape. When referee Scott Jones asks if she will submit, she does. Vespertine rolls Akame off of her and stands up in the middle of the ring as the Valor championship belt is handed to her.

Marcela Sancho – The winner of this match, and NEW CWF Valor Champion, Vespertine!

Jessica Carr – Eternal Grove is one more belt away from total domination. But on top of that, Vespertine is the first to ever win the Valor Championship, twice!

Victoria Hill – Yes, but who will be the one to gain the Elite championship?

Jessica Carr – I don’t know, but my money is on Viktor Kriegson if he comes back to the ring.

Victoria Hill – I will have to agree with you, Until next time…

Both – #jointheconquest!
