Season 4 Episode 4 Cards!
We open to the Conquest Wrestling Federation news desk, where we see Esmeralda von Krauss sitting behind the desk in a shimmering emerald gown. She has a foot-long green cigarette holder in her hand that has a lit Egyptian imported cigarette at the end of it. Esmeralda takes a drag from the cigarette and flicks ashes neatly into a provided ashtray.
Esmeralda von Krauss – You’ll have to forgive the fact that I am here alone today. My husband is busy elsewhere. He’s a bit torn over the fact that his war with Rob Riot could be over as Riot has fled with his cronies. Either their contracts came to an end, or they decided to buy them out. Does it matter? No. They are gone. Good riddance, I say, but I was not obsessed with the downfall of Rob Riot either. If I hated him as much as my husband did, I would have simply made a phone call, and the issue would be settled by now.
Esmeralda takes another drag from the cigarette, blowing the smoke into the air with a laugh.
Esmeralda von Krauss – The CWF heads to Topeka, Kansas, for the next episode of Vanguard! We will be at the Landon Arena. No, dahlings, I can’t really think of a good reason to be in Kansas. I don’t think there’s anything exciting in Kansas for us to really be there, but it is what it is.

The screen within a screen at the corner of your screen pops up to show Steve Murdock and Johnny Sniper.
Esmeralda von Krauss – We will begin the night with Steve Murdock taking on Johnny Sniper. Now, neither of these men has been having good luck of late. Loss after loss has been building up upon their souls like so many chains that weigh them down. This match will be a breakthrough match for one of these two men. Steve Murdock is a warrior born. He has fought hard all of his life in matches and has been a champion often. This is just a little hiccup in his career. He’ll be back busting skulls before you know it. His opponent is a former military man and someone who could, as the kids say, mess you up at the drop of a hat. I expect that this match will set the pace of the show. They will show these Kansas people what a wrestling show should really be.

The little screen pops up again. This time, revealing Bruce Hendrix and Duchess Lana Hill.
Esmeralda von Krauss – The second match of the night will feature the nobody, Bruce Hendrix, as he takes on the Duchess Lana Hill. Now, I have not seen much of anything from Bruce Hendrix that really makes him stand out as a person who really needs to continue to have a job here with Conquest Wrestling. Perhaps, I should convince Armand to fire him if he performs poorly in his match against the good Duchess. She is a lioness. She might have had some bad luck of late in the ring, but I feel like she’s going to have a good time against Bruce Hendrix as he blunders his way through his final match.

The little screen changes, this time revealing Eoin O’Rourke and Gabriel Tuck. Esmeralda looks at the screen with a laugh as she takes a long drag from her cigarette and blows the smoke into the air. She plucks the cigarette butt from the end of the holder and crushes it out in the ashtray.
Esmeralda von Krauss – The next match has been done several times before. Eoin O’Rourke was taking on Gabriel Tuck for some slight. This time, he intends to use my Gabriel as a stepping stone to get back into the company with a win. Yes, I say “my Gabriel” freely. He has always been like a son to me that I did not birth. I saved his life yet again, and thus he owes me everything. He won’t be a pushover in this upcoming match. Gabriel defeated Apathy, and he can defeat Eoin, too. Crushing defeat is in the cards for Eoin. He can only hope that this time won’t put him right back on the shelf as the last time did.

The little screen changes, this time revealing Fiona O’Connell and Tetsuo Oni IV. Esmeralda looks at the screen with something akin to pride while she loads her foot long cigarette holder with a fresh Egyptian cigarette and lights it. She blows smoke into the air.
Esmeralda von Krauss – Then, we move on to two warriors that make me proud to have them in the CWF. I would, of course, prefer that that they would be in my camp, but that’s simply not to be. Fiona O’Connell nearly captured the Valor title after surviving a gauntlet match and then the next show? She nearly defeated Abigail Dresden to become the CWF Conquest champion. These are not small accomplishments for someone in their rookie year of this Spielkämpfe that you call wrestling. It is something to be admired. Tetsuo Oni IV is also early on in her career and has done marvelous things in that small amount of time, winning title after title. This is bound to be a great match up, maybe even the match of the night. I look forward to this.

The little screen changes, this time bringing in three people as it reveals Karlie Nash, Vespertine, and Miguel Lanza Jr with the CWF Valor title in the background.
Esmeralda von Krauss – This brings us to the main event of the evening, as we have a triple threat for the Valor championship. A tag team comprised of Vespertine and Karlie Nash take on Miguel Lanza Jr. You have to know that for at least half this match that Vespertine and Karlie Nash are going to be working together to bring Miguel down before fighting amongst one another to determine who will become the next champion. I don’t know if I were Miguel that I would have accepted this as it’s almost certainly a loss for him, but it is his funeral. Does Miguel have the talent to see this through? Almost certainly, but will he? That remains the question. I foresee Vespertine taking the title at the end of the night, but that’s just my guess. I am curious, though, if Vespertine manages to take Miguel’s soul, would that leave the demon alone in the body, or will she snatch the demon instead? I think that fascinates me more than the match itself. I will be watching closely to see Miguel’s fate.

Esmeralda takes a drag from the cigarette and blows the smoke into the air. She signals to someone off camera and a stage hand walks over with a glass with whiskey on the rocks in hand. He sets it down in front of Esmeralda and walks out of the shot. She takes a sip of the whiskey and sets the glass back down with a smile.
Esmeralda von Krauss – War Zone will be at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. It will be our last stop in this gods forsaken place. This War Zone will be the second phase in the trio of matches between Samael Drago and Kronin Reinhardt to see who will go on to face Abigail Dresden at Lunar Warfare. I know that Valora said that it might be a boring series, like when the company was under the thumb of Blaise McClancy, but this series of matches has the chance to help shape the future of the CWF. Let’s get into the War Zone card, shall we?

The little screen within a screen pops up again to show Trelisa Perrault and Apathy. Esmeralda’s eyes narrow a moment when she sees Apathy, but her cold grin quickly returns into place.
Esmeralda von Krauss – Looks like this opening bout will be a match made in France as Trelisa Perrault of the nKo takes on Apathy. Trelisa is a force to be reckoned with in the CWF. Apathy…Elizabeth Devereaux-O’Rourke… is on her last run. Her days are numbered, but she still thinks that she can still make an impact. Those days ended when you faced Frank Windsor in the ring and he put you down. May as well retire and allow Annika Devereaux to take the wheel. We have enough young people here that she will feel right at home. She can move from Japan to join our global tour. Think about it, dahling. I would like to not have to deal with another death in the ring, but I won’t shy away from it.

The little screen changes to that of Wicked Kat Hale and Kara Reinhardt. It’s important to note that there isn’t an Elite title belt in the background to represent that this is a non-title match. Esmeralda takes a drag from her cigarette and casually flicks the ashes into the ashtray before she blows the smoke into the air.
Esmeralda von Krauss – Now for a most interesting match of the night. Wicked Kat Hale has been making waves in this company with her Valor title reign. She may not have gone the five full defenses, but she did manage to defeat Greg Salazar. That’s no easy feat, so I am told. So, Kat Hale might be getting a title shot at Lunar Warfare, but why doesn’t she have one on this night? Why, Kara? Are you afraid that you might lose the title before you get to the big match at the pay-per-view? Or, it seems that you’ve been running off at the mouth against Valora Salinas. Are you wanting her to come and claim that title back? I could authorize her to wrestle part-time? I mean, my husband did when he put Eron Hunter in his place. Maybe Valora should do the same with you. But the fact remains at the end of the day, this is a non-title match when it doesn’t have to be. You could make it a title shot and give Kat Hale the respect she deserves. Think it over, Kara. Make the right choice.

The small screen changes again. This time it reveals Viktor Kriegson and Madd Morales. Esmeralda looks at the screen with a smile, her eyes lingering on each figure a little long before she looks back at the camera.
Esmeralda von Krauss – This match is a step up from the last one as Viktor Kriegson takes on Madd Morales of the nKo. We have the savage strength of Viktor Kriegson and the blistering speed of Madd Morales. Will Madd be able to bring down Viktor or will he be caught by Viktor and crushed? I have to say that this match up style has been done time and time again with different results each time. Yes, Viktor is coming off a landslide win against Rob Riot. Yes, he had help in taking Riot down, but the job was done. Madd took a victory against Kat Hale. Both are coming strong into this match, but who will win the day? I’m not sure I know. I will be watching this match closely.

The little screen changes yet again, this time revealing Greg Salazar and Abigail Dresden.
Esmeralda von Krauss – And the matches just get bigger and bigger as the night goes on. Greg Salazar takes on Abigail Dresden in another non-title match. Greg is no pushover, though he has been losing more matches of late. Abigail is the CWF Conquest champion. She has proven to be a step up from her parents, Valora Salinas and Rob Riot. I think this match is going to go Abigail’s way, but Greg could surprise us I suppose. I am looking forward to this.

The little screen changes to reveal Samael Drago and Kronin Reinhardt. This time they are covered in a steel cage. Esmeralda grins, plucking her cigarette butt out and snuffs it out in the ashtray.
Esmeralda von Krauss – And now we come to the main event of War Zone as Samael Drago takes on Kronin Reinhardt in the second of three matches. My husband says this one should be a steel cage match. The first person to escape the cage will be the winner. If Samael wins the day, then we will not require a third bout as there will be no purpose. If Kronin wins, then we will need that third match to get to a tiebreaker. Personally, I hope that Kronin wins the day so that we can have the third match. Better for business, you understand. But, we will just have to see what happens, right?
