CWF Vanguard: Season 2 Episode 1

Your screen goes blank, empty blackness for about 20 seconds..
It then cuts to just outside of an office door in the backstage area. CWF’s Court Appointed Commissioner, Blaise William McClancy, is standing there.
Blaise McClancy – Good evening, and welcome to the first episode of what the CWF is calling Vanguard. Tonight’s show is the pilot episode, and I figured I’d give you a little rundown on things before we get started.
First and foremost, if it is only something that affects the world of Vanguard, and not the CWF as a whole… one woman is in charge back here. The General Manager of Vanguard, Jane Couglin. So let’s bring her out here now.
He’s joined by that woman, coming out to stand at his right.
Jane Couglin – Thank you Blaise. Tonight’s show is, as he said, our pilot episode. But wanted to give you a rundown on just what we’re doing here. Of course on the last Warzone, Blaise ran down my wonderful news and interview staff including Jim Greer, James Collins and of course the wonderful Ms. Alyssa Lucchi.
Blaise McClancy – Well we’re both borrowing her.
Jane laughs at that, but then continues.
Jane Couglin – But, we’re also doing something that has not been done outside of some all Women’s Japanese feds here. The ringside and announcing staff for Vanguard are all women: We have Marcelo Sancho in the ring as our Ring Announcers. Our desk announcers will have Jessica Carr on play by play, joined by Victoria Hill on color commentary. We have done this because not only were they the best for the role, but also we wanted to inject some new blood in the CWF’s system.
Blaise McClancy – Well the time keeper will be Mrs. Luccia Tilla, and even the ringside doctor, Ms. Evie Wood is joining the team here.
Jane Couglin – Well, enough of us blabbing about how great things will be. Lets go ahead and run the opening and then toss things to Marcelo, Jessica and Victoria.
The screen goes blank, for about 10 seconds…
Music starts, keyboards and a guitar until..
A deep growl comes out
FEAR!
The CWF Vanguard Logo comes up onto the screen:

The rougher guitars start, along with the vocal of Cristina Scabbia, joined by Andrea Ferro on the growls from Lacuna Coil, performing “Nothing Stands In Our Way.”
It opens with shots from the various CWF Warzones from the second half of Season 2, starting with Frank Windsor holding up the Valor Championship.

Fireworks explode across the stage of the Circus Arena in Cancun, Mexico, as Vanguard goes live for the first time. The camera takes a dizzying pan across the arena as excited fans leap up and down, waving their signs for the crowd to see. There are too many to look at to see them all clearly, but some of the highlights include:

The camera cuts to ringside, where we see the happy, smiling faces of our Vanguard broadcasting team, Marcela Sancho, Victoria Hill and Jessica Carr, as they welcome us to the action.
Jessica Carr – Welcome everybody to a whole new era for the Conquest Wrestling Federation! Welcome to the launch of our new show, Vanguard! You’re on the ground floor as CWF begins its expansion, with a whole new era getting started right here tonight in Mexico’s party city.
Victoria Hill – Party City doesn’t cover it, senorita! It’s always hot in Cancun, but CWF has got this crowd going Spring Break wild! We’ve got some of the biggest stars in the business for you tonight, but before we get to anybody else, there’s only one way to kick off a new pro wrestling TV show, and that’s with…

Hill is interrupted by a long screech of static followed by a pulsing, almost hypnotic guitar riff. The crowd rises as one to its feet to stare at the ramp, because they all recognise the song. It’s “I Feel You” by Depeche Mode, which means the champ is here.
Victoria Hill – Well, actually, my cue cards said The Bastards, but I guess Riot on his own is good enough!
Jessica Carr – We’re thirty seconds into our new show, and we’re already going off- menu? Start as you mean to go on, I guess!
Rob Riot, the CWF Conquest Champion, steps out onto the stage, picked out in red and white spotlights just as the chorus of “I Feel You” crashes in. He stands there for a moment to take in the atmosphere before giving the fans a twirl, allowing everyone to get a good look at the title belt around his waist. Once he feels like folk have had enough time to open their phone cameras and snap a souvenir, he heads down to the ring.
Victoria Hill – Riot carries that belt so naturally that I almost feel bad for other wrestling companies. Imagine having to do our job and call someone other than Riot a world champion. It would be embarrassing.
Jessica Carr – Easy, tiger. But I know what you mean. Rob Riot waited a very long time to be world champion again, and now he’s back at the top of the tree, he wears it well.
Tonight, though, we were supposed to kick off with The Bastards. Something’s changed, so what gives?
Victoria Hill – Give the man a minute or two and I’m sure he’ll tell us, Jess.
Jessica Carr – It was a rhetorical question, Vicki. May I call you Vicki?
Victoria Hill – No.
As Riot approaches the ring, he directs the camera to take a good look at the new CWF Vanguard ring apron and shouts, “NEW SHOW, SAME BUSINESS,” before taking the slow, dignified route to the ring, walking up the stairs and wiping his feet before stepping onto the canvas. Someone throws him a mic, Riot motions for Depeche Mode to be cut, and we’re ready to go.
Or, at least, we would be if it weren’t for the roar of the crowd. The Riot Star nods and smirks, giving them a few seconds to settle down before he speaks.
Rob Riot – Now, I know you guys were expecting to see me out here with Frank and Eddie to start the show, so I’m sorry to disappoint you. You’ll see Eddie later on tonight, and I can assure you that Frank is here. I asked the boys if I could take this time for myself because I’ve got a little business to handle, and I wanted to handle it in public. So that’s what we’re going to do even if someone very important to me doesn’t like it. Abbigail Dresden, wherever you are backstage, pin your ears back. I want to talk to you.
There’s an “ooooh” from the crowd, all of whom immediately understand that Riot talking to Abbigail from the ring probably won’t go down well with Valora Salinas.
Rob Riot – I’ve spoken to Valora this week, Abi – and yes, I’m going to call you Abi. We’ve handled this situation in private, and that’s all good, but I’m a little old-school. I’ve always believed that in this business, if you say something in public, you can expect to be responded to in public. Last week, you went on television, dressed up as me, to mock me and to mock my running mates, so this is your receipt.
The show we’re on right now, Abi – this brand new CWF show – is called Vanguard. It’s a cool name and all, but do you know what a ‘Vanguard’ is? Maybe you do, because you’re pretty smart. If you don’t, ask Val. She knows. If Val isn’t there right now, look it up on your phone. I’ll give you a minute. In fact, I’m going to give everyone in this Cancun audience a minute to look it up on their phones, too, because while Cancun might be known for parties, it ain’t known for smarts. Go right ahead, guys. I’ll wait.
While some of the audience boo at having their intelligence mocked, a few of them actually appear to be looking ‘Vanguard’ up on their phones. Never let it be said that watching Rob Riot isn’t educational.
Jessica Carr – I swear he used to know how to endear himself to a crowd.
Victoria Hill – He still does. He just doesn’t want to.
Jessica Carr – Good point, Vicki.
Victoria Hill – Jessica, I swear…
Having been stood with his hands behind his back for the past few moments, Riot perks back up.
Rob Riot – Have you all caught up? Excellent. So now we all know that a Vanguard is, by definition, a group of people leading the way in new developments or ideas. That’s what this show is supposed to be all about. New developments. New ideas. Abi, in what way is dressing up as another wrestler to mock them a new idea? You sit there with a stellar resume for someone so young, arguably the brightest young prospect in wrestling today, and that’s the best you can do? It wasn’t just cliched, Abi, it was disappointing. Worse than that, it was inaccurate. ‘Sir’ Robert of Riot? Really? ‘Sir?’
He pauses and spits in disgust. That wasn’t play-acting. He actually spat. Hopefully, somebody cleans that up before the first match.
Rob Riot – I know that people who grow up in Wales don’t have much of an idea about how civilisation works in the rest of the UK, but do you even know how people become a ‘Sir?’ You have to be invited by an official on behalf of the British Royal Family, and you have to accept the invitation. You might have it in your head that I’m some out-of- touch, elite, better-than-you-by-birth English aristocrat, Abi, but I’m not. I’m a Blackpool boy and a sparky’s son. I might be rich, but everything I have, I earned. I don’t want anything from the Royal Family. I don’t want Sausage Fingers the Second to wave a sword at me while his kiddy-fiddling brother watches on from the sidelines.
There’s a roar from the crowd at that last line, which the CWF producers tried to bleep a half-second too late.
Jessica Carr – That’s gonna cost us money.
Victoria Hill – Yeah, but it’ll go viral. It’ll make the money back.
Rob Riot – I’m no more likely to accept a knighthood than I am to wipe my arse with the sharp side of a hedgehog, and that’s not all you got wrong about me. Not by a long stretch. You think I have a problem. You think – and this is exactly how you put it – that I want the spotlight but not any of the hassle that comes with it. Abi, I’ve always got the spotlight whether I want it or not. Even right now it’s on me. I’m only giving you a sliver of it. And no, I don’t want any of the hassle that comes with it, which is why when hassle comes my way, I smack it back down again. Ask Iro Waters. Ask Eron Hunter. Ask everyone else I’ve beaten since I came to this company. There are three people who I allow to cause trouble in my orbit, and that’s because I wouldn’t have them any other way. Two of them are Frank Windsor and Eddie Williams. You already know who the third is. It ain’t you, kid. So why – why oh why – haven’t I already hunted you down and shut you up? Is it because I feel like I didn’t need to, because Frank already knocked you out?
He twirls the microphone around in his hand as he allows that last line to sink in and sting.
Rob Riot – It would be easy for me to say, yeah, that’s the reason why, but it isn’t. So I’ve been thinking about the reason. And maybe it has more to do with me. Maybe it’s because when I see this teenage kid full of piss and vinegar ripping up a roster without stopping to pay respect to any of the veterans, it reminds me of someone. Maybe when I see this hot young thing offer respect to nothing and nobody and bask in the heat that she gets from it, it reminds me of a guy called the J-Man who rose through NLCW twenty-four years ago. A guy who later dropped the gimmick and turned out to be a real Riot. A guy who became me. That spark inside you, Abi, that burning desire to spit in the eye of authority and light a fire under your elders; that’s not something that can be taught. That kind of anger, that urge to tear down and destroy… it’s in your blood.
A collective gasp among a wrestling crowd doesn’t make as much noise as a pop or a cacophony of boos, but when it’s as loud as the one that just happened, it creates palpable tension.
Jessica Carr – Did he…. is he….!?
Victoria Hill – Shut up and let him talk!
Riot takes a few steps closer to the camera, thus making the conversation feel more personal even though it’s taking place before a TV audience of millions.
Rob Riot – There’s this spicy, salacious, scandalous rumour going around backstage. A rumour that not even the dirt sheets want to touch or talk about because they’re scared of being sued. But I’ll touch it. I’ll talk about it. Last week, Val came to see me and she…
Before Riot can go any further another song blasts through the PA, cutting the Englishman off….
“Straight Out of Line” by Godsmack.
Jessica Carr – And we’re now going to get the CWF’s Commissioner joining us. That’s Blaise McClancy’s music.
Riot’s visibly infuriated, kicking the bottom rope and turning around to face the rampway to find out what the hell McClancy deems worthy of interrupting such an important moment.
And that’s just who walks out, the CWF Commissioner in his usual: jeans, t-shirt and jean jacket.
He’s got a microphone, and is ready to get started.
Blaise McClancy – Sorry to interrupt you there, Rob. But we have a little bit more important things for the company… and we are on company time, right?
Riot just stares.
Blaise McClancy – Well, I’ll try to not take up too much time here. But, you coming out alone means I can… have a bit of time concentrating on Rob Riot, CWF Conquest Champion and not the Bastards as a group. So Jane said I could go ahead and use this time to take care of some CWF Business for Urban Warfare.
The crowd starts a murmur as to what that could mean.
Blaise McClancy – Seems that as per usual, “Someone” has really put us into a corner right before a pay per view, and we have to think about.. How is Rob Riot going to defend, or more importantly WHO will he be defending against at Urban Warfare. So I was asked to fix it. And well, I wanted YOU to be the first person to know. You can get back to the “Days of our Lives” stuff once we’re done if you want to.
Riot doesn’t look too happy with that.
Blaise McClancy – But I have to give you credit. Von Krauss has tried, TRIED to find you someone. He’s tossed people at you for the second half of this season. And I have to give you credit, you’ve put them all down. And I’m a HUGE fan of you, and the Bastards… old and new. You know that.
He stops for a moment, as he had started to pace the stage in his usual manner.
Blaise McClancy – But, you know I run a school. Hell, you beat my best student to date for that Conquest Championship. We teach that anyone can beat anyone on any night of the week, if the conditions are right. So… since we’re so close to Urban Warfare… we’re going to do a BIG match. BIG! The Biggest for the CWF to date.
The fans light up, as the depth of what that means comes to reality.
Victoria Hill – A big match? Who will be taking on Rob Riot for the Conquest Title.
Jessica Carr – Well we’re about to find out!
Blaise McClancy – First, I’ll tell you that 4 people will be in the match with you. They will be determined on Episode 10 of Warzone in 4 qualifier matches.
Jessica Carr – 4 opponents?
Blaise McClancy – Now the match at Ubran Warfare? This match will be fought in a large cage that will surround the ring. We are calling it… the Star Chamber match.
Victoria Hill – The Star Chamber?
Jessica Carr – Well 5 people, including the champion!
Blaise McClancy – 5 people in the match, and it’s an elimination style. Like most chamber matches… 2 start, every 5 minutes another is added. Last man or woman is the Conquest Champion. BUT YOU, Rob Riot, will have the champion’s advantage in it. First: your chamber will be last to open. So you have them all fighting and possibly some already eliminated before you get into the match. HOWEVER… You’re Rob Riot. The best in the business right now. So how could I make it better and give Rob Riot something of a bragging right?
Jessica Carr – We’re not minutes into our first show, Vicki… and we’re getting to cover the BIGGEST announcement in the CWF history.
Victoria Hill – Don’t call me Vicki, but you’re not wrong.
Blaise McClancy – So, Mr. Riot. Your chamber will have a button in it. At any moment you can hit that button, and YOUR pod will be the next to open. Champion’s advantage. Given who may be in the ring… that could end up multiple Bastards’ advantage too? Maybe… If they qualify.
Suddenly Riot seems a bit happier with the announcement.
Blaise McClancy – So, to recap: Season 2, Episode 10 of Warzone… 4 qualifying matches to be announced during Episode 9 in a couple of days. Then they will join Rob Riot in the Star Chamber at Urban Warfare in Mexico City… 2 random starters EXCEPT for the current champion who has advantage. New person every 5 minutes, but the champion can override and enter when he wants. Last Man or Woman in the ring gets to keep the Conquest Championship. That’ll be the star chamber in a nutshell.
Jessica Carr – That sounds amazing!
Victoria Hill – Yes, yes it does. That’s going to be the main event of Urban Warfare in just a little over a month.
Blaise McClancy – Now, you’ll excuse me, but we have actual matches to have out here. So I’ll finish interrupting Jane’s show and we’re going to get started with some in ring action, so how about we talk things in the back, Mr. Riot?
Blaise makes sure his stance notes that isn’t just a request. Riot exits the ring, as a woman steps in with her own microphone.
Jessica Carr – But, we have to ask, what was Rob Riot implying when it comes to Abbigail Dresden?
Victoria Hill – Well, put two and two together. He was basically saying…
As Riot and McClancy disappear into the backstage area, the woman in the ring starts announcing for the first match of the show.

Marcela Sancho – The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall! Featuring first the challengers, they are Eoin O’Rourke and Elizabeth Devereaux-O’Rourke they are the Dynast Era!
Music hums in the air, as flashes of green, purple and red lights flash in the arena before stopping all at once
“YEAH!”
Then all but two lights go out, with the last lights on the stage with green on the far left and red on the far right
“AH, AH, AH, AH, OW!”
Walking into the red light stands Apathy, and Eoin O’Rourke coming to the green light. The two turn towards each other and walk to the center of the stage
“We take medication to be someone else
And we take off our clothes to pay for the bills
Where downloading content will buy you a sentence
And murder is free in the Hollywood Hills”
Once the two are in center stage, they turn towards the ring and then hold hands and march to the ring together
“I’m living one big nightmare, the ugly truth has a model face
Making saints out of useless pop stars
Where’s the intelligence?”
Apathy leaves to walk up the steps as Eoin goes to the side of the ring
“A-M-E-R-I-C-A HEY!”
Eoin slides into the ring as Apathy walks into the center to help raise Eoin to his feet
“Land of the Free!
The Sick and Depraived!”
Eoin and Apathy hold one another and pull off one another’s jackets
“A-M-E-R-I-C-A HEY!
So why the fuck are you looking at me?!
Jessica Carr – They look ready to take care of business.
Victoria Hill – This situation with Lana and her bodyguards, Mark and Fred, has built to this. Hopefully, there’s some closure at the end of this. Lana and her guards deserve it after Apathy threatened Lana’s life.
Jessica Carr – I would say that Eoin and Apathy deserve it after all of the interfering that the bodyguards have been doing in previous matches. They did not need to get involved.
Victoria Hill – They are there to protect the interests of their charge, Lady Lana Hill! Of course, they had to get involved in the match.
Marcela Sancho – And their opponents, hailing from London, England…they are Lady Lana Hill, Mark, and Fred!
“Back in Black” by AC/DC begins playing as Lady Lana Hill walks out from the back with his bodyguards in tow. No longer dressed in suits, they are in wrestling gear and looking fierce as they stand on either side of their charge. All three head down to the ring under the cover of a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Jessica Carr – The bodyguards going to show what they’re made of tonight. For being old guys, they looking pretty fit.
Victoria Hill – How do you figure on them being old?
Jessica Carr – I figure from the fact that they helped out Madonna with a situation. Has she needed bodyguards in a while?
Victoria Hill – I think so, yeah. So they could be in their thirties or whatever.
Jessica Carr – I guess that’s not old.
Victoria Hill – Exactly. They are going to show Lana tonight that they can be a strong protective force.
As the bell sounds to start the match, Eoin O’Rourke and Mark start out in the ring with their partners heading to their corners. Eoin and Mark begin circling around one another in the center of the ring to see about an opening by which to attack.
Eoin reaches across the distance between the two and backhands Mark, who shakes it off though he looks angry at the impact.
Eoin O’Rourke – Thinking you gonna be jobless tonight after I pin your boss to the mat.
Mark – You won’t even touch her!
Mark charges in blindly and is hip-tossed to the mat with relative ease. Mark gets back up quickly enough but is smashed with lefts and rights from Eoin before being whipped across the ring to the ropes. On the rebound, Eoin hits a shoulder charge that sends Mark right back to the mat! Eoin gets in a few stomps and kicks before Mark can roll away to his feet.
Mark stands up and slowly backs up to his corner as Eoin advances on him. Mark reaches back and tags in Fred, who leaps over the ropes into a dropkick to send Eoin to the mat. He mounts Eoin and rains punches down on him until Eoin can break free and get back to his feet. Fred grabs Eoin by the arm and pulls him in for a short arm clothesline, but Eoin catches Fred by the throat with a hand and throws him by the neck across the ring. He then rushes over and elbow smashes Mark off of the ring apron before going back to Fred in the ring.
Mark rolls into the ring and is intercepted by referee Troy Reynolds, who argues with Mark to get him out of the ring. On the other side of the ring, Eoin grabs Fred and whips him into the corner and tags in Apathy. She comes into the ring and grabs Fred by the back of the head. Eoin joins his grip with hers and they slam Fred’s face into the turnbuckles several times before letting him fall to the mat. Eoin leaves the ring as Troy gets Mark to exit the ring.
Jessica Carr – I don’t know if that was the most upstanding thing that they could have done in the ring, but it was tag team action. Eoin getting under the skin of the bodyguards.
Victoria Hill – It doesn’t seem to be getting to Lana. She is still here right?
Jessica Carr – Looks like it.
Victoria Hill – She seemed…I don’t know. I’m sure she’ll get into the ring soon enough.
Fred gets back to his feet, only to be grabbed by Apathy and thrown back to the mat with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! She grabs him by the ankle and performs a picture-perfect spinning toe hold, repeating the motion a few times.
Jessica Carr – The bodyguards just being manhandled. Looks like they are not quite good at wrestling without their tasers.
Victoria Hill – I’m sure they picked up a few things watching Lana wrestle.
Jessica Carr – Ok?
Victoria Hill – Oh stop.
Apathy throws the leg of Fred down and points to Lana. Fred is slow to get to his feet and is whipped into the corner where Lana and Mark are.
Apathy – You should step into the ring and leave these posers out of it, honey.
Lana doesn’t look very happy, but she does tag herself into the ring. She steps into the ring and blocks a roundhouse kick from Apathy, grabbing at the leg and performing a top-notch dragon screw leg whip that brings Apathy down to the mat. Lana stands and waits for Apathy to get up, catching her right in the jaw with a superkick! Apathy drops to the mat and Lana goes for the cover. Troy gets into position for the count.
….One
……Two
……..Thr-Apathy kicks out!
Lana gets up and pulls Apathy up, but is drawn down into a jawbreaker that snaps Lana to attention before sending her to the mat. Apathy gets up with a twisted grin to the bodyguards before she mouths the words “Watch this”. She pulls Lana up and squeezes her from behind, nailing German suplex after German suplex in a row. She gets up to six with Lana ending up in the Dynast Era corner before she’s done. Apathy gets up to her feet and looks across the ring at Mark and Fred with a laugh. They look like they want to get into the ring, but Troy Reynolds is there to stop them.
Jessica Carr – Now, Apathy is just showing off.
Victoria Hill – Are you shocked? It’s in her nature to provoke.
Apathy gets Lana up and smashes her back first into the corner before tagging in Eoin. They grab Lana and O’Rourke lifts her high holding their arms as she is held upside down. Apathy climbs to the top rope and leaps through the air, spiking Lana’s face into Eoin’s knees! Apathy runs across the ring to attack the bodyguards while Eoin goes for the pinfall!
….One
……Two
……..Three!
Jessica Carr – I’m getting word that this move was the Dynast Monarchy Driver!
Victoria Hill – It was certainly effective!
Marcela Sancho – Winner of the match via pinfall…the Dynast Era!
Apathy and Eoin celebrate their victory in the ring while the bodyguards, Mark and Fred, work to get Lana out and to the back.
Jessica Carr – And ladie’s and gentlemen, while we get things buttoned up here, we’re going to go to a one on one interview with a tag team that will be taking on the Tag Team Champions in a non-title match on Warzone in a couple of days.
Victoria Hill – Our colleague and the CWF’s News Director with a one on two with the twins, Kronnin and Kara or Team Reinhardt!

The camera goes to what appears to be a soundstage setup. Since they’re in Cancun for the first episode of Vanguard, they appear to be in the board room for meetings in one of the various hotels. Behind the raised stage with one seat on the left, and 3 seats on the other side, is a large wall of windows showing the expanse of the beach.
Seated on the left hand side, our interviewer, James Collins, the new CWF News Director. He’s seated in a navy blue suit, with a CWF Warzone branded tie on.
James Collins – Good evening, some introductions might be in order for those watching. My name is James Collins, the new News Director for Conquest Wrestling. Tonight, I’m going to be bringing you a little introspection on a tag team who are facing the CWF Tag Team Champions in a couple of days on the next episode of WarZone. Here we have for you, the fraternal twins: Kronnin and Kara Reinhardt.
He motions for the other side, giving the signal for his interviewees to come up onto the stage area.
Kara enters first, wearing a CWF T-shirt and jeans and takes a seat, taking a few moments to settle into the chair. Kronin follows not far behind Kara and takes his seat as well. He is dressed in a more polo shirt type and a pair of dress pants.
James Collins – Good afternoon, Guten Tag and welcome to the Vanguard Studio here in Cancun. In case any of our audience don’t quite know who you are. Would you like a moment to introduce yourselves to the audience?.
Kronin Reinhardt – Well, Good afternoon. Happy to be here, for those who don’t know. I’m Kronin Reinhardt, I’ve been wrestling for..way too damn long.
Kronin glances over to his sister to see if she has anything to add. Kara smiles and nods
Kara Reinhardt – Guten Tag. I’m his twin sister, Kara. I’m still relatively new to wrestling so I fully expect no one knows who I am.
Kara says, laughing a bit.
James Collins – Well, a lot of the fans of the CWF, following their favorites through the years surely know Kronnin. But the fact that he has a fraternal twin sister was maybe a bit of a surprise. And that she’s getting into wrestling… So, guess we should maybe start with the Reinhardt we know the least about: Frau Riendhardt… oh, sorry. I’ve actually been spending a lot of time recently in Germany. Ms. Reinhardt?
Kara smiles and laughs a bit, nodding
Kara Reinhardt – Your German is pretty good, but perhaps a bit dated. Frau and Herr have been largely removed from the dialect, though people from Kronin and my’s generation and generations prior to ours still sometimes use it. That aside, what would you like to know?
James Collins – Well, thank you. I can say that when I’m visiting the area, it’s sometimes confusing. But before that, the only German I had… was in a University Class. I still consider myself learning, and well… My current teacher is constantly correcting me.
As for what we’d all like to know: Well, first: Like I said, we know pretty much who your brother is. Former champion, long time in the business. Former musician… and well, former may be a misnomer there. But just who is Kara Rienhardt? Why get into the business now?
Kara listens intently to James, directing her full attention on him and thinks for a few moments before answering.
Kara Reinhardt – Well, that’s a broad question. I mean, my brother and I were around for the final, last gasps of communism. As with who lived under communist regimes, we can give quite the dissertation on how much they are not the utopia some think. We saw the wall come down, and our country re-united. My Brother was the athlete of us. Wrestling and football. I played some football but had other interests. He decided to make sports his living. I went into the Military. Coming out of the military, I had the same problem a lot do. ‘What now?’ I had competed in some mixed martial arts competitions, mostly on a military level, German KSK vs. British SAS or things of that sort. A lot of us were forbidden from being professional MMA fighters for obvious reasons. I had done some work as a consultant helping TV shows and movies that want to get things right from a military standpoint. Did some work as a stunt person, even but my brother raised the possibility of giving wrestling a go. I was skeptical.. My age is not ideal to begin this type of career.. Still, my brother asked and so here I am, testing the waters, so to speak.
James smiles at her answer, a bit more than he expected. But welcome for her to open up with.
James Collins – Oh, military gal. Well, that lines up with some others in the CWF and we all know that the Military training of certain groups, units or branches as a whole can really make you a threat in the ring. But, you and Kronnin are also something you’d normally think would be rare: fraternal twins. But this upcoming Warzone, you two are getting a chance to challenge the Tag Team Champions in a non-title match, another pair of fraternal twins.
So guess I should ask: Any thoughts on that?
Kara nods a bit as she listens to the question and considers
Kara Reinhardt – Well it does make learning a bit easier when you have someone you’re on the same wavelength with. And yes, you would think it rare but this match we get two sets of fraternal twins going up against each other. I think that presents a unique challenge and I’ve seen Pacific Rim. They are pretty talented.
Kronin adds in a piece here
Kronin Reinhardt – They are definitely talented and promising prospects, but they are also young and inexperienced. So in addition to twins vs. twins we will get to write one more chapter in the book of the age old debate: youth vs. experience.
James Collines – Well… in a way, yes? I mean they’ve been wrestling for a while now in local feds and now in CWF for a bit of Season 2. They are the inaugural CWF Tag Team Champions. But, your sister is also a rookie in the less than 3 years time frame. So, you, Kronnin would end up being the lynch pin to hopefully use your experience in that way. Not to put either of you down. Everyone in this match is impressive in their own ways, and I think we have four different styles of individuals and two in teams. So I’m personally looking for this match more than others at Warzone… But, Kronnin, thinking of you and your sister at the same time: is this your current goal or are you still looking to take up what may be some old scores with the current CWF Conquest Champion, Rob Riot?
Kronin lets out a bit of a laugh and shakes his head.
Kronin Reinhardt – Funny you should mention him. Because according to our Conquest Champion, who apparently moonlights as both a talent scout, booker and General manager, the ‘experience’ Kara, Myself and Pacific Rim have outside of CWF doesn’t count for anything. I find it interesting he is deciding what does and does not count as worthy. Riot’s Monster is at least a fighting champion. He risks his belt every show as required and every show, the slimy SOB finds a way to hold onto the belt. Valora is a fighting champion, she’s defended her Elite title at least once or twice by my count, I think? Rob Riot? No. Oh fight you but don’t ask him to risk his title. He’ll come up with a million reasons why your challenge doesn’t count or your not worthy or this or that. We have a word for that back home. ‘Coward.’
Kronin adjusts his position.
Kronin Reinhardt – But my issues with Rob Riot are for another time. I won’t disrespect Pacific Rim by looking past them. My sister and I are professionals. If we win, and if that win leads to a title match and we win that match, then we will do all we can to help build a vibrant and competitive tag team division in CWF. I mean obviously, we have our singles ambitions too. Right now, Pacific Rim are our opponents. We expect a great match.
Adding in her part, Kara picks up seamlessly where her twin leaves off
Kara Reinhardt – Kronin is definitely the lynchpin of our team. This is my first ever tag team match. I could say I have MMA experience. I could say I’m a combat veteran, all of that doesn’t count for much with this set up. And the bottom line is that we have scouted our opponent. We believe we have a grasp of their strengths and also that we have found weaknesses to exploit. We have put together a strategy we believe will lead us to victory.
Our opponents have done the same. No doubt they believe they have a grasp of our strengths and weaknesses and have a gameplan for victory. We’re definitely looking forward not only to this match but whether we’re champions or not, we look forward to working with Pacific Rim and the CWF to build the best possible tag division. I think Kronin said it best. We both will be available to fight in singles matches but we are excited at the chance to get into tag team action too.
James laughed a bit, and had been chuckling while they answered. When they stop, he picks up.
James Collings – Great to hear it. Although if I may, a note about your comments on what Rob Riot has said. Guess all of them have the same issues in that group. Because they’ll bring up what they did outside of the CWF when they list all of their accomplishments before you can.
But, that’s neither here nor there, of course. I am in that case a bit biased.
But, it is also nice to see someone else come in and actually be respectful and respectable. Like I said, I’m looking forward to this match as a fan of tag team wrestling, and the idea of just the dynamics of this match: 4 individual styles, 2 team styles, and yet, two sets of shared DNA as well.
Impact and spot machine madness versus classic old school wrestling with MMA style shooting as well. We’ve seen how the Young Hawiian and Alaskan natives work together, here is hoping we get a big surprise from Team Rienhardt as well. Would there be anything either of you would like to get out there? To your opponents? Future opponents? Anyone else?
Kara thinks for a moment and nods
Kara Reinhardt – I agree James, this match promises fun and exciting entertainment. As for what to say to our current opponents, may the best team win. Future opponents.
Kara pauses for a moment and looks at her twin.
Kronin Reinhardt – I would say to our future opponents that we’re here and we intend to be in the mix in both tag teams and singles action. So you might want to bring your A game, as the Americans are fond of saying. To our current opponents. Kelea and Ahklut. We look forward to facing you in the ring and, as Kara said. May the best team win.
James Collins – Well, that’s all we have for now. I’m going to go ahead and toss it back to Marcla, Jessica and Victoria in the Arena. Thank you Kronnin and Kara, it was a pleasure and good luck on Warzone. And may this be the start of a great tag team.
The Camera cuts back to the announcers desk inside of the Arena.

Marcela Sancho – The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Featuring first the challenger, hailing from the recesses of Wendy’s mind…it is DemoniK!
A red haze takes over the stage as ‘Sleepy Hollow’ by Deadsy feat. Jonathan Davis begins playing while a pale-skinned eight-year-old girl dressed in a long black school uniform walks timidly out from the back dragging a steel chain behind her. Clearly attached to something, she struggles to pull it along.
Stopping, a sharp and vicious pull by the macabre girl suddenly brings slack to the chain.
Strobe lights flash as it steps out shielding its eyes, DemoniK steps onto the stage to the roar of boos from the Fireside faithful. The chain leading to a collar around its neck, it no longer resists her.
Pulling the monster closer and closer, it crouches to kneel before her. Wendi whispers something to her pet and receives a slow nod that it’s understood its instructions.
Pointing to the ring, Wendi waits for DemoniK to follow her instructions. Slowly, it begins stalking its way to the ring with Wendi casually walking behind, DemoniK rolls into the ring to stand in the corner while Wendi takes a seat near the timekeeper’s table, leaving it in the ring snarling occasionally as it awaits its meal.
Jessica Carr – It’s been some time since we’ve seen DemoniK in the ring.
Victoria Hill – Yeah, last it was humiliated by Cross Recoba.
Jessica Carr – I don’t think this is going to happen tonight.
Victoria Hill – You never know. Mysterion has pulled out some surprise wins before.
Marcela Sancho – And its opponent, from parts unknown…Mysterion!
The houselights lower and a spotlight falls on the stage, highlighting the entrance from the back. Everything slowly falls silent until an electronically distorted voice sounds over the PA;
“WHO… IS… MYSTERION?!”
“Basket Case” by Offspring kicks off at a deafening volume and strobe lights suddenly start flashing crazily, as though controlled by a kid with ADHD on a sugar rush. Fireworks tear off into the rafters, flooding the empty upper stadium in light. The excitement levels of the crowd grows.. Surely an entrance such as this alludes a someone.. a BIG someone! Suddenly that distorted voice sounds again as it once more asks;
“WHO… IS… MYSTERION?!”
A spray of sparks erupt either side of the stage and a man burst’s through onto the stage, the voice sticks to a loop, repeating the words;
“HE… IS… MYSTERION… HE… IS… MYSTERION… HE… IS… MYSTERION…”
The spotlight refocuses on the animated, excited wrestler to reveal…
The Angel Mysterion

He walks out from the back in angelic garb with a pair of wings on his back. He poses for the cheering crowd for a moment before heading down to the ring and taking the wings off before stepping into the ring.
Jessica Carr – I think this is the most involved of Mysterion’s get-ups yet.
Victoria Hill – It is something else.
As the bell sounds to start the match, DemoniK crosses the ring in an instant and cracks Mysterion in the side of the head with an elbow strike that staggers Mysterion back a couple of steps. DemoniK follows this up with a bodyslam that sends Mysterion right to the mat. Mysterion rolls away to his feet, but is caught with a belly to belly overhead suplex that sends him right back to the mat.
Mysterion tries to get back up, but DemoniK kicks him right in the face! DemoniK stomps on Mysterion a few times before pulling him up and hitting an exploder suplex! It grabs Mysterion by the arm and places a foot in his armpit. It yanks on the arm while pressing the foot into the armpit and a loud pop silences the audience.
Jessica Carr – Was that really necessary?
Victoria Hill – It would seem that DemoniK is sending out a message to the locker room that it is back in action.
Mysterion lays in the middle of the ring and is tapping, despite the fact that he’s not in a submission hold. Referee, Leroy Wallace, looks to DemoniK, who stands in silence for a moment before applying a mandible claw for a brief few seconds as Mysterion is still tapping frantically. Leroy calls for the bell to be sounded and nervously raises DemoniK’s arm into the air while Evie Wood gets into the ring to check on the downed Mysterion.
Jessica Carr – I’m going to say that the shoulder is dislocated. That was just mean!
Victoria Hill – DemoniK isn’t here to be nice to people.
Jessica Carr – Yeah, but-
Victoria Hill – If they don’t like the risk of injury, then they should not get into the ring with DemoniK.
Jessica Carr – I guess that makes sense. Still, seems like a waste of a match.
Victoria Hill – True.
EMTs come down to the ring to help Evie Wood get Mysterion to the back. He’s walking, but really favoring that shoulder. Wendi stands in the middle of the ring with DemoniK for a moment to soak in the boos before they too, head to the back.
Jessica Carr – Well, if DemoniK was sending a message to the locker room, I bet it’s sent.
Victoria Hill – Loud and clear.

We go back to Abbigail’s Locker Room
Abbigail sits on the bench working on her outfit. Valora looking her over.
Valora Salinas- I don’t care. I said I’m going.
Abbigail sighs. Looking over at her mom, she shakes her head.
Abbigail Dresden – Mom. I got this. You made it clear you were going to be there. Everyone will be looking for you, everyone will be expecting you. I promise you. They won’t expect this.
Valora pinches the bridge of her nose as she paces back and forth.
Valora Salinas – Alright. Well there’s no camera in here, nothing to leak out, at least tell me your plan.
Abbigail looks up hopefully. This has merit. Maybe she can persuade Valora to trust her a bit.
Abbigail Dresden – I got my friends Kelea and Ahklut. They’re going to come out with me.
Valora stops in mid pace as she hears this. “So.. your plan. To defend against possible appearances by the Valor Champion Limey Trump and the Conquest Champion –
Abbigail Dresden – Sir Robert of Riot.
Valora Salinas – Correct. Your plan against possible interference by them is to..tell the Elite Champion and legendary bad ass to stay in the back so you can rely on a rookie tag team that can’t work effectively as a team?
Abbigail Dresden – Yes. And thank you for not insulting them. But they are the tag team champs.
Valora rolls her eyes.
Valora Salinas – Well, Native Hawians and Mexicans have something in common, we both have experience in white Americans stealing our damn land from us and their status as tag team champs would be more impressive if the fed had more than 4 tag teams, of which 3. The Bastards, the Reinhardts and us have yet to team.
Abbigail shrugs.
Abbigail Dresden – Isn’t a champ a champ?
Valora walks over and sits down next to Abbigail
Valora Salinas – No. Like him or not, Limey Trump defends his belt every show and finds a way to win. I’ve defended my belt once or twice already, not as much as I would normally, but more than I’m required to. Rob Riot will defend his title pretty much when he has to. Now if you measure a champ by days they hold the belt, then it doesn’t much matter. I tend to count a champion by how often they defend their belt.
Abbigail Dresden – I trust Kelea. I really learned a bit from hanging out with them. Akame and Kelea and I are starting to really build a bond, I think. Mom.. I don’t think Riot and Limey will come out to do something on the developmental show. I mean, Yeah, I saw Riot is here. But he’s tied up with the announcement that McClancy made. As for Windsor… Pretentious Englishmen, remember? But if you come down there..
Valora Salinas – I might draw them. Hmm. You’re not totally wrong.
Abbigail smiles and puts a hand on Valora’s show.
Abbigail Dresden – Eddie is already accusing you of throwing me at them. I want him to deal with me. I’ll have my friends with me and if they do show up, we all know you’ll bolt down to the ring. Vanguard is supposed to show some of us who don’t get as much TV time as your main event types.
Valora sighs. She knows her daughter is right.
Valora Salinas – ….if you lose, you’re grounded.
Abbigail smirks, taking the response as intended and nods.
Abbigail Dresden – Well then I better lose then, huh?
She gets up as the locker room doors open and Kelea and Ahklut enter and the trio gets ready to head down to the ring.

Marcela Sancho – The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Featuring the challenger, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada…he is El Gringo Diablo!
An uncomfortable silence follows the last interaction. The crowd begins to wonder if there are technical difficulties or an unplanned commercial break. Suddenly the lights cut out. It is pitch black and silent in the area. A familiar rainfall begins to echo throughout the arena. Flashes of light shoot illuminate the building as faux lightning rides through the arena. Crickets chirp through the PA system before a vicious guitar and drum beat bleed throughout the arena.
“ROOOOOOTS! BLOODY ROOOTS!”
El Gringo Diablo appears on top of the ramp to a mixed reaction from the fans. Fake blood falls from above, covering him. The sheen of the horns on top of his mask shine as the lights begin to raise slowly. He makes his way to the ring, slapping hands of those who have them outstretched on the way. Once he hits the apron he pulls down on the top rope to leap over into the ring.
Jessica Carr – You would think that he would be El Blanco Diablo instead of Gringo.
Victoria Hill – I think he covered that in his promo.
Jessica Carr – Oh right. I forgot.
Victoria Hill – The blood rain is kind of gross. Why would SM Heartbreaker want to touch him when he’s all sticky like that?
Jessica Carr – I think of it like Carrie!
Victoria Hill – Doesn’t make him any less gross.
Marcela Sancho – And his opponent in this match, hailing from-
The jumbotron flickers to life showing SM Hearbreaker laying on the floor in the staging area and bleeding from the head. EMTs are on site to secure him and get him into the back of a waiting ambulance. El Gringo Diablo walks over to referee, Georgina Ross, and informs her that she needs to start counting SM out since it is clear that he won’t be able to make it to the ring. Georgina looks flushed with nerves, but does begin to count SM Heartbreaker out as he is being loaded into an ambulance.

Jessica Carr – This is crap. SM was obviously jumped from behind.
Victoria Hill – Not entirely true. He could have just fallen from some kind of medical problem.
Jessica Carr – I suppose this is also true.
Victoria Hill – I know it.
Marcela Sancho – Winner of the match via countout…El Gringo Diablo!
The fans give a mixed reaction, though there seems to be more boos considering they think that El Gringo had something to do with SM Heartbreaker being downed. He celebrates in the ring as if everyone had been cheering for him before heading to the back and slapping the few hands that get stuck out for fives.
Jessica Carr – Well? I guess that was a win for El Gringo Diablo.
Victoria Hill – Not that we got to see what he was made of, but yes. A win is a win.
Jessica Carr – Should have had Aphrodite on stand by just in case.
Victoria Hill – I don’t think she’s even in the arena tonight.
Jessica Carr – Oh. I guess that makes sense.
Victoria Hill – Yeah.
Jessica Carr – Well, time to go back to talk to another CWF Superstar with one of our top notch interviewers!

Down by the entrance stage, there is a table set up with two chairs and the backdrop of a Cancun beach. Joseph Greer sits at this table with a wide grin as the cameras turn to him.
Joseph Greer – Hello this is Joseph Greer and I am here to interview for the brand new show of Vanguard with none other than the newest fiery talent on the roster that goes by Savior Hawkins!
“Healing Pool” by Safest Ledge begins playing to bring Savior Hawkins out from the back. Savior comes out from the back as he goes to shake Joseph’s hand and takes the seat next to him.
Joseph Greer – Hey, Savior you were impressive against Mysterion at the last show. Pity it took three different opponents to line up in front of you before one stuck. Makes you kind of wonder if you are a dangerous opponent in the ring. Are you? Are you a dangerous opponent in the ring, Savior?
Savior Hawkins – Well Mr. Greer, I would not say I am a dangerous person. That is part of the crazy world of professional wrestling. It was a little frustrating I never got a chance to beat the hell out of Nate Carney as it was a cowardly move of his to attack someone in the shadows. I went in that ring to put him in his place to show him and everyone in the locker room that when I see injustice, I will fight for what is right. I do hope that Miss Sera is doing okay.
Joseph Greer – I think that Kaori Sera took an injury that night from Nate’s cowardly attack and had to be put on the shelf indefinitely. Nate was fined and told that he did get to face you in the ring for the next show, but he declined to fight and instead quit. He cited his health was at stake, which must have meant that he was afraid of what might have happened in the match against you. That says a lot. How is your family with you wrestling? Are they supportive? I mean CWF wrestlers can make as much as other sports like Football or baseball players.
Savior shivers at the question as any time people mention his parents, he feels sadness in him that he knows the answer to Joseph’s question. Savior tries his best to mask his emotions so Joseph does not notice. He can mentally hear Julian screaming that he shouldn’t have asked that question and Savior mentally telling Julina to pipe down so he can get this interview over it. Savior looks at Joseph with a fake smile and answers his question.
Savior Hawkins – Ummm.. That is a great question man. I mean my parents are doing well as they are just absolutely glad that I am just living up to the family name. While wrestling wasn’t an ideal choice they would have wanted but they just simply wanted to see me be good at….. Something…
Joseph just smiles placidly.
Joseph Greer – I’m glad that you have found something that you are good at. What do you think of the DemoniK taking something of an interest in you? He was the first Legendary Wrestling Alliance’s Legendary champion so he’s really nothing to sneeze at if you know what I mean. He takes an interest in people, their soul is often at risk.
Savior Hawkins – There are only two things in my life that I am scared of, and Saviorthat is God and my mom. DemoniK may be a monster in CWF but it doesn’t mean I am scared of him. I do not know how I feel about him in terms of respect but he doesn’t scare me. If anything, I invite me to inflict his worst because I am not going to let anyone put me in a fear prison and it will not start. If he wants to play these games, I shall play them.
Joseph Greer – That’s good to know since you face Steve Murdock in your next match tonight. Now Steve is an old hand at this wrestling business. He’s also known to be something of a hardcore master. I know technically tonight is not a hardcore match, but that doesn’t mean that things cannot be changed as the card is subject to change you know. What kind of a plan do you have when going in to face him tonight? For most people who do face him, they plan to not bleed. It’s normally a plan that does not work.
Savior Hawkins – My plan is going in the match with the mindset of winning. I have a lot to prove to the back that I belong in CWF and I am going to use this match to demonstrate that. Murdock may be a hardcore man but that is not stopping willing my way to a victory as it will be hard fought to the end. I hope DemoniK is watching my match because he and Murdock are going to learn that I’m what’s new, I’m what’s next! And what’s next for both men is that they will learn that I am not someone they can toy with, and more importantly, both men will learn they are not facing a wrestler, they are facing a prodigy! I have a prophecy to live up to and I will make sure that I finished that prophecy!
Joseph Greer – You mention the term prophecy. What kind of prophecy are were talking about? Were you talked about by Nostradamus kind of prophesy? I mean I get a little leery when someone says that they have been prophesied to win.
Before Savior can even get a chance to answer his question, he looks to the left as he can Julian just walking around Joseph with a fireball. Savior can see Julian just mocking Joseph and laughing at his suit and Savior looks at Julian and speaks to Julian as no one else can see Julian but Savior.
Savior Hawkins – Hey Julian, can you stop fucking around with Joseph! Like dude, we are almost done like fucking christ! Cannot do anything with you when you want to like an asshole!
Savior realizes that he is talking to the air while he knows that he is talking to Julian but to everyone else, he is talking to the air. Savior tries to swiftly answer his question as if nothing happened.
Savior Hawkins – What I mean… By prophecy, I mean I have a personal goal to simply be CWF’s Savior and become a main eventer player in wrestling period.”
Savior smiles big to hope Joseph did not catch anything of what Savior talking to the air.
Joseph raises an eyebrow, but that fades quickly back to his placid smile.
Joseph Greer – And there we have it. A young man looking to fulfill a self-prophesied victory over everyone who comes in front of him. Those are big shoes to fill, Savior. I’m sure you can do it! Thank you for coming.
Savior Hawkins – Thank you for having me as it was an honor to be here.
Savior gets up as he’s announced to the ring for the next match.

“Healing Pool” by Safest Ledge begins playing and as soon as the beat drops, Savior Hawkins rushes out from the back to get the crowd pumped up. He doesn’t get far as Steve Murdock steps out from the back and clocks him in the back of the head, sending him off of the entrance stage where he knocks over a camera!
Jessica Carr – That was totally uncalled for!
Victoria Hill – Maybe Savior insulted Steve’s mother? You never know.
Steve drops the kendo stick and watches as Savior Hawkins is slow to get to his feet and leaps off of the stage to grab Savior and bulldog him into the side of the fallen camera! Referee, Leroy Wallace, signals for the bell to start the match and says something to Marcela.
Marcela Sancho – This match is a falls count anywhere, hardcore match!
Jessica Carr – What the heck? That’s not right!
Victoria Hill – Well, that’s how the cookie crumbles.
Steve Murdock gets up and climbs back up onto the entrance stage and grabs his kendo stick. Savior Hawkins gets up, his face already a mask of blood from being slammed into the camera. Steve holds the kendo stick with both hands overhead as he leaps from the entrance stage. Savior sidesteps the swing of the kendo stick and catches him in the midsection with a powerful punch that doubles Steve over as he falls into the downed camera!
Savior Hawkins climbs up onto the entrance stage and does a Cody Rhodes with arms wide open “woah!” as fireworks go off and the crowd begin to cheer his comeback! Savior starts heading down to the ring when he sees Leroy Wallace heading down to him. He just shrugs and turns around to see Steve Murdock climbing back onto the entrance stage with the kendo stick in one hand. He walks over to Steve and kicks him in the face to send him crashing back off of the stage to the floor. Savior raises his arms again in celebration and watches the downed Steve for a moment.
Savior leaps off of the stage with a corkscrew shooting star press, but Steve is up and catches him in a gorilla slam position before dumping Savior onto the broken camera!
Jessica Carr – Oh no! This can’t be good for Savior!
Victoria Hill – Well, I mean a sneak attack and change of stipulations. I don’t think it was meant to be good for Savior.
Steve Murdock picks the camera up and the television audience gets an up close and personal view of Savior’s face as Steve brings the camera down against it over and over again, the screen looking more and more broken as the lens cracks as it is being used. Savior stands for a few moments but falls over, his face even bloodier from each impact.
Steve rolls Savior Hawkins back up onto the entrance stage and follows him up while holding onto his kendo stick. When Savior doesn’t make a move to get up Steve nudges him with the bloodied kendo stick. Nothing. Steve just grins and goes for the pinfall!

Jessica Carr – Oh my god! I would have stayed down after what he’s gone through.
Victoria Hill – Savior would like to maintain momentum. Especially if DemoniK is still going to be messing with him.
Steve Murdock kneels up and looks at referee Leroy Wallace who backs up and holds up two fingers. Steve growls and pulls Savior to his feet. On the other side of the entrance he spies a set up table just ff of the stage. He smiles and gets Savior into an fireman’s carry before hitting a Avalanche Death Valley Driver onto the table breaking it in half!
Jessica Carr – Broken Dream Driver! This is probably it!
Victoria Hill – Very likely.
Steve grabs his kendo stick and drops down off of the entrance stage and goes for the pinfall while holding the barbed wire kendo stick across Savior’s throat for just that extra oomph. Leroy Wallace drops down and gets into position.

Marcela Sancho – Winner of the match via pinfall…Steve Murdock!
Steve Murdock stands up and celebrates his win for a moment before reaching into his trunks, pulling out a wad of cash, and handing it to Leroy, who sniffs at it and looks disgusted before sticking the money into a pocket.
Jessica Carr – So Steve was offering Leroy cash to make the match what it was!
Victoria Hill – Seems like the thing to do nowadays. Why not? Steve likes a good hardcore match. WHy not let him have it?
Jessica Carr – Still. This was wrong. Savior should have been told in advance and without the ambush at the start of the match.
Victoria Hill – That is true, but why? Why not spring it on him. People like surprises when it’s Christmas and their birthdays. Why not now?
Jessica Carr – That’s terrible!
Victoria Hill – Then, you should prolly not be in the wrestling bidness as this is what happens.
Steve Murdock climbs back onto the entrance stage and heads to the back, leaving Savior Hawkins lying in a small pool of blood.

Fog begins to spill from backstage, shrouding the entrance stage and lower-lying areas. By the fallen form of Savior Hawkins, the diminutive form of Wendi steps out of the fog bank with DemoniK at her side.
She nudges the groaning Savior Hawkins with a foot.
Wendi – How it pains me to see you laid so low. I would have expected my monster to come out tonight and lay you low itself, but it seems that Steve Murdock beat us to it.
Savior Hawkins starts to get up, but a swift kick to the face from DemoniK sends him back to the floor, blood splattering from his wounds.
Wendi – Don’t get up on my account. We both know you’re done for the night.
Savior tries to get up again, but DemoniK places a foot on his chest to keep him down.
Wendi – More courage than brains. Seems common in the youth. Maybe you should give him something to remember us by…
DemoniK kicks Savior in the side of the face again and then leans down to apply the mandible claw! To his credit, Savior doesn’t try tapping out as this isn’t a real wrestling match. He makes an attempt to break out of the hold, but cannot. Instead, he passes out from pain after a few moments. DemoniK lowers him back down to the floor.
Wendi – We’ll see each other again, Savior.
With that, Wendi and DemoniK retreat back into the fog to leave the ringside doctor, Evie Wood, and several EMTs to come check on Savior Hawkins.

Jessica Carr – Well now we’re just a few moments away from our first ever Vanguard main event!
Victoria Hill – Well, I’m going to pre-emptively side with my fellow Englishman, Eddie Williams. It seems our would-be Welsh rebel hasn’t learned her lesson yet and is still further foolhardy enough to take a fight at less than 100%.
Jessica Carr – First off, she didn’t have a choice. Armand von Krauss booked this match before she was medically cleared. Also, I would venture to say that, while she could have likely refused to fight on grounds she wasn’t medically cleared, that if she had, Armand would have punished her further and I would add she shows a lot of heart, likely taking after her mentor.
Victoria Hill – Say what you want. She isn’t 100% She lost to Windsor when she was 100% and now thinks she can fight Eddie Williams at less than 100% after what was an insulting and ethnically insensitive promo, she continues to give her opponents more ammunition against her.
Jessica Carr – Right and you won’t mention that the Englishmen started the insults by implying that all Welsh people are inbred hicks that have a penchant for sex with sheep?
Victoria Hill – Have you ever been to Wales?
Marcela Sancho – Ladies and Gentlemen the next match is our 1st ever Vanguard main event and it is set for one fall!
Introducing first, he hails from Cambridge, England in the United Kingdom. Standing 5 feet, 11 inches and weighing in at 215lbs. He is the Ripper, EDDIE WILLIAMS!!
The ramp starts to flood with smoke as ‘Here We Go’ by Chris Classic ft. Eminem plays over the PA. A figure appears in the entranceway with his arms crossed. A series of fireworks go off along the top of the entrance ramp. The light adjusts back to normal. Havok starts to walk down the ramp.
He slowly and methodically makes his way toward the ring, bathing in the reaction of the fans within the arena. Eddie enters the ring standing with his arms raised and fireworks go off from the four turnbuckles. Walking over to the furthest turnbuckle and climbs up to the middle rope. He looks out across the crowd. As his music dies down, he waits near the corner, pacing back and forth ready for the match to start
Jessica Carr – Eddie Williams in the ring, looking all business tonight. The newest addition to the Bastards will definitely want to be the one to put down Abbigail who is proving to be a huge thorn in the side of the Bastards in recent weeks.
Victoria Hill – Huge thorn? A minor annoyance at best. She isn’t even old enough to go to that crap uni based in Swansea. Eddie Williams hails from Cambridge, one of the most elite universities in the world. I mention this because I am afraid he is about to teach this young Welsh upstart a lesson she won’t soon forget.
Marcela Sancho – And introducing his opponent, She hails from Swansea, Wales. Standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing in at 143lbs. She is a member of the Expendables, ABBIGAIL DRESDEN!!
‘Give it a Go’ by Timbaland ft Veronica plays over the PA and Abbigail comes out, dancing to her song. Unlike earlier attempts, it’s clear she’s gotten lessons from her friend Kelea as she moves with a lot more fluidity and rhythm as she comes to a stop in the entryway and throws a three punch combination. She then grabs a mic
Abbigail Dresden – Look everyone. The Spare Bastard awaits!

Eddie Williams – Get your bloody arse in the ring!

Abbigail Dresden – One second, one second. I told you. I learn quickly. I told you preparations had been made. So good people in the crowd give a warm, Mexican welcome to my friends!
Kelea and Ahklut walk out from the backstage area. Kelea and Abbigail do a bit more dancing, ending with bumping their hips together before Abbigail breaks into a dead sprint, sliding into the ring and immediately begins hammering Eddie Williams with right hands. The announcer and others scramble and the ref hurriedly calls for the bell to start the match
Jessica Carr – What a start! Abbigail comes out with the tag team champions as her security! We’d heard rumors that her and Kelea had become good friends and file that as confirmed
Victoria Hill – And a sneak attack. Real honorable.
Jessica Carr – Really? After the Bastards tactics, you’re going to criticize her?
Victoria Hill – Hmm, point taken.
Eddie Williams recovers from the initial barrage of punches and shoves the teenaged fighter off of him to create some distance. Abbigail takes her normal fighting stance and hits Eddie Williams with 3 left jabs but instead of the expected right punch Abbigail switches up and hits Eddie Williams with a cutting kick on his knee and then moves her foot from his knee and hits another cutting kick to his ribs, Eddie grunts at the blow and counters with a thumb to the eyes. He then fires off a right left combo of punches and tries for a third punch but Abbigail counters with a hip toss, making maximum use of her lower center of gravity and using her hips, the result being that she seems to bring her bigger opponent down with relative ease.
Jessica Carr – Abbigail came to fight tonight, folks! And it looks like she has learned a few new tricks
Victoria Hill – Indeed, I had noticed her technical game was full of mistakes and the like. But it seems as if someone has begun working with her to smooth out some of the rougher edges.
Eddie Williams comes to his feet and glances to the ringside area where Kelea cheers on Abbigail and Ahklut keeps an eye out for bastard shenanigans and looks to Abbigai urging her to attack. Abbigail again runs to the ropes and rebounds off and jumps into the air, trying for a headscissors takedown. The aerial attack surprises Eddie Williams but he counters into a tilt a whirl backbreaker. He tries to follow up with a springboard leg drop but Abbigail rolls out of the way and comes to her feet, jumping up and hitting a dropkick, knocking the man flat onto the mat
Jessica Carr – Eddie fighting back, that was a brilliant counter but it seems like Abbigail has made some changes to her moves.
Victoria Hill – This is one of the things that’s puzzled me so far, is that given who her mentor is and her build she should have been doing things like this right from the start
Abbigail tries to pull Eddie to his feet but he counters with a couple of punches to the gut and grabs her and brings her to the mat with a belly to belly suplex. Eddie then rebounds off the ropes and as Abbigail gets to her feet, she’s hit with a flying crossbody from Eddie Williams bringing her to the mat, bringing a groan of pain from the crowd. Eddie tries for a pinfall

Thr-Abbigail kicks out!
Jessica Carr – Eddie fights back and was in control for that exchange, a belly to belly and that flying crossbody definitely has to hurt!
Victoria Hill – Indeed. The real question is how much the Welsh rebel can take. She was concussed in her match against Frank Windsor. These high impact moves are not going to help her much at all.
Eddie Williams pounds the mat in frustration and gets to his feet, rolling Abbigail over onto her stomach and locking in his version of the camel clutch, including putting his fingers in her mouth and pulling up. Ashley Beaton checking for the submission. Abbigail claws on the mat coming very close to tapping out several times as she struggles but eventually one of her feet finds the ropes, Ashley Beaton orders the break but Eddie Williams holds on until a 4 count before he breaks the hold and gets up.
Jessica Carr – Eddie Williams with the Camel Clutch. I’ll say Abbigail was damn lucky she was near the ropes as that move would have been almost impossible to escape from otherwise
Victoria Hill – One of these days, her luck is going to run out. Still, my disagreement with her politics aside, the girl has impressive determination
Eddie gets to his feet and shakes his head, pulling Abbigail to her feet, measuring her before boxing her ears three times, smacking and punching her in the head as he berates her. Kelea moves and is about to jump onto the apron but Ashley Beaton warns her it will be a DQ for Abbigail if she does and Kelea backs off. Meanwhile another punch drops Abbigail to a knee. Eddie Williams pulls her back to her feet and Abbigail grabs his strike, hitting a reverse STO, planting Eddie Williams face first onto the mat and immediately locks in her version of the Koji Clutch. Ashley Beaton immediately checks for a submission
Jessica Carr – Celtic Clutch! We had heard rumors that Valora had taught her student some new tricks but this!
Victoria Hill – This might be a good time to point out I’ve always considered this a choke hold.
Eddie Williams struggles and tries to find a way out but eventually he taps on the mat and Ashley Beaton calls for the bell
Marcela Sancho – Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match, by Submission is Abbigail Dresden!!!
Jessica Carr – Abbigail wins! She’s beaten 2 of 3 Bastards she’s faced! Even you have to admit she has talent.
Victoria Hill – As I said, I firmly believe the Koji Clutch is a chokehold, but CWF does technically allow it. As for the little Welsh insurgent. She is definitely talented. Frankly, it’s somewhat-
Victoria is cut off as Eddie gets up and interrupts Abbigail’s celebration with a boot to the gut and plants her with a DDT. Kelea and Ahklut surge into the ring but Eddie retreats into the crowd who went from loud cheers at Abbigail’s win to boos at the post match attack, Kelea checking on Abbigail as she and Ahklut help her out of the ring and the three make their way to the backstage area.
Victoria Hill – And that’s why they’re the Bastards. Poor sportsmanship and sore loser syndrome. I may not agree with the young woman’s politics, but she won this match fair and square. As I was saying however, it’s frankly a bit scary at how talented she is at such a young age.
Jessica Carr – Well ladies and gentlemen, that’s the end of the first episode and edition of CWF’s Vanguard. And in a couple of days, from Merida , Mexico we will have Warzone… and we’ll find out the 4 qualifier matches for Episode 10 to determine who will be in the Star Chamber match with Rob Riot at Urban Warfare.
Victoria Hill – We’ll also be seeing Frank Windsor of the Bastards defend the Valor title in his 4th defense against Lex Collins.
Jessica Carr – Team Rienhardt will be in tag team action against the Tag Team Champions we just saw backing up Abbigail Dresden, Pacific Rim.
Victoria Hill – And we’ll see Valora Salinas and Greg Salazar in a match that’s been months in the making.
